bobby21, 21 Aug 2016Seriously who would buy the Note 7 over the S7 Edge?!I really have to question your intelligence here. Let me ask you a basic question, that should answer yours:
What is the unique selling point of the galaxy note series, that is the reason it even exists?
Oh, its too hard for you isn't it? Its the stylus.
Battery life discrepancy is mainly due to Samsung's focus on optimization for their Exynos model. Other phones do as well or better than Samsung's 820 offerings.
It seems Samsung didn't optimize the SD820 Variant. snapdragon is better choice for me any day because of dev support but it seems Samsung screwed up real big this time.
Cons-
Dual Edge Screen which I can't stand on Note 7 because no matter what my palm touches the screen on the S7 Edge opening something always
4GB RAM is too less for me. 6GB is standard.
Battery life is horrible.
And nothing extraordinary.
Please gsmarena, do a battery test with mid power saving. Would be interesting to see
Exynos effective battery

TBH Most Of the functions flawnted On this new note have been available On many phones its only few Of the features that are really unique (water proof pen and ability to Write under water) So yeah I can boldly Say this note is just not Special enough to force me to Upgrade from my note 4 Cos the battery life is on Par with my SM-N91OF. nice phone nontheless ^_^ hahaaa!!!

It's all about the numbers nowadays. But I have to say that higher resolution do make sense for vr. Not so much in everything else though.

Just seen the S7 Edge and S7 Note side by side and it's hard to tell them apart, until you check for the pen opening. It seems bizarre marketing to two virtually similar looking phone but a vast difference in price.

The holy six battery endurance apps. I haven't upgraded from a note 4 because of them and Ditto Note 5 ROM.
its all fine and dandy till someone runs any game in 1440 x 2560 pixels and puff.... poorer performance than a mid range phone and that big bad 3500/3600 battery drains faster than a bottle of whiskey in a party.
A good quality 1080p screen for a 6''(or less) screen (to be honest even for a 7'') its already plenty, more than 1080p its just retarded in a technical and pratical point of view.
bobby21, 21 Aug 2016Seriously who would buy the Note 7 over the S7 Edge?!People that want to use the s pen? Bigger screen?

S-Pen
Always on screen memo
Type-C future standard
Ability to lower resolution to 720p/1080p
More shatterproof GG5
64gb base model
Gif maker
HDR display considered the best by DisplayMate
Free 256gb micro-sd card or Gear Fit 2
Nice try. Your S7 edge just got demoted by several reviewers. Note7 now considered the best of the best. The ability to lower resolution is a BIG DEAL that S7 edge lacks.
I've been using my AT&T galaxy note 7 for 2 days and I'm quite disappointed. It's noticeably slower than the Exynos version of Note 5. I wish we got the Exynos version. The Snapdragon is much like Crapdragon
Why would Samsung make a Smartphone for the Business community and don't make it with a bigger Battery?
This Smartphone cost $150 more than the s7 edge but, the edge is better without the S Pen.
bobby21, 21 Aug 2016Seriously who would buy the Note 7 over the S7 Edge?!A person who wants bigger display, a person who wants an s pen, a person who doesn't want big edges on the screen, a person who wants 64GB base storage. I don't see any downsides of having this phone, except a little bit lower battery endurance, which is still much better than almost all of the other flagship phones. You should change the question to, who would buy galaxy s7 edge over note 7? You will probably say the screen scratches easier. Just get a damn screen protector, but I can guarantee you that keys and stuff won't scratch the phone. I'd rather get a few scratches, instead of a broken screen, which costs a lot to repair due to the design of this phone. To people who say s7 edge is 150$ cheaper. The phone just released. Don't expect it to have low price just from release. Also it has 64GB storage. Compare it to s7 edge 64GB model.
bobby21, 21 Aug 2016Seriously who would buy the Note 7 over the S7 Edge?!The people who want an S-Pen...!
I have the s820 cup s7 edge and I still have to charge it once a Day.
It an amazing Smartphone other than the Battery life.
