AadiRizvi, 24 Aug 2016Disappointed to see the list really, i was expecting C5 Ultra, M5, and obviously Z3 series to ... moreBoth Z2 and Z3 has 16gb (11gb user available) of internal storage. Android 7.0 requires newer chipsets (SD810 and above) and an internal storage not lower than 16gb.
wut, 24 Aug 2016Quick to update? Bwahaha, my c5 is still on 5.1 and so are the other devices you mentioned. It... moreAtleast they update. Not to mention that samsung update policy is a hit or miss. it's either your device gets updated or not. LOL
Anonymous, 24 Aug 2016Quick? I waited almost 1 year for Marshmallow. (m4)Next time, buy a high-end flagship before complaining.
what if my xperia z5 is still running android 5.1.1, can i also expect android 7. pls answer...
Alien , 24 Aug 2016First of all, every other brand offers Nougat for 2 or 3 of their phones, while Sony offers it... moreEvery percentage counts. Because if stock UI is a stable OS, then other OS platforms like Oxygen OS from OnePlus 3 should be on top as well, but it isn't. Only Motorola did a good job at optimizing the stock android experience, but Sony is still ahead. And exactly what you said is right. It's not always brand's problem updating their phones so if Sony can't get any update from a particular region, then we shouldn't acuse Sony for that. Though in the case of Samsung, they are always late at updates, and worse is they never do so.
szef, 24 Aug 2016Z3 already gets laggy after update to marshmallow so update to nougat would kill it :) i know ... moreMy own Z3 is moving faster always. and I think of your network area problem that is Why its laggy your own
Anonymous, 23 Aug 2016Last section of this article "That's it. If you own another Sony device and were hoping to ... morei moved to HTC i have a htc 10.used to love sony phones but they didnt fill my expectations.yes i think youre right.
Just calm down everybody, they already have an Android N Developer Preview for Xperia Z3.
First of all, every other brand offers Nougat for 2 or 3 of their phones, while Sony offers it to 9 devices. 9! And the list is not final, meaning there may be other phones also.
Second, you bought a low or mid-range phone and you expect high-end software support. Wake up! That's how every company survives nowadays. They need to make profit too. If they offer Nougat to every phone, nobody would buy the newer models and the profit would be zero.
And third, I'm not an expert, but from what I understand, starting the Z3+ they all run on 64 bit while the older models(z,z1,z2,Z3) they run on 32bit. Your Z3 is NOT COMPATIBLE with Nougat!
It's like you have a 586 PC and you're mad cos it won't run the latest windows. Get a brain and stop posting useless comments..
Xperia Z3+: 2.0GHz Snapdragon 810, 64-bit, 3GB RAM
Xperia Z3: 2.5GHz Snapdragon 801, 32-bit, 3GB RAM
Tourettes Guy, 24 Aug 2016At least they did released updates unlike Samsung which will never ever give updates to their ... moreSony's OS is far more stable than stock (Sony only has 0.08% crashes while Motorola with stock Android has 0.09%)
just curious... in which world does a difference of 0.01% can be considered "Far more" anything??
about the updates issues, it's not only about the brands, sometimes it's about the carriers locking them too (just saying) that's why we have odin for that (i found out it's extremely easy to use even at my first time) :)
