Apple focus on large powerful cores instead of going the more common way of fewer, less powerful cores. Since the majority of application won't make use of all those cores using SD820 on iPhone would certainly be a step back because of the weaker single core performance of the SD820.

The quality of a review depends on the reviewer, a good reviewer should be a trustworthy expert on the matter or at least people that used the product first hand that will give you an in depth view on the matter and never just focusing solely on the negative or the positive points.
"The screen sizes and resolutions are unchanged in the new generation from the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus, unsurprisingly," actually it is a bit surprising; I thought Apple would learn by now, boy am I gravely mistaken.

look for different reviews, know what are the pros and cons. go for reviews with expert opinion, there are dozen in youtube.
what is the point of going for negative reviews only??

If you look at the good reviews, whats the point? Its a dumping grounds for fanboys.. totally illogical praising.
Once you compile all the bad reviews, check on the stores if thats really the case, and found it to be acceptable.. then go for it!
NEVER LOOK AT GOOD REVIEWS.. it tells you crap.

"Not accord... moreThat's funny, because when I googled "gear VR review", the first page alone contains all four stars reviews, one three and a half stars and one three stars yet you jumped straight to the three stars review. :D Negative reviews on Gear VR are few but of course if you focus solely on them, they become your whole world.
Here's the 3,5stars from trustedreviews:
"For anyone interested in purchasing a VR headset and who's already a Samsung flagship owner, the Gear VR is a no-brainer. It's easy to use and the content selection keeps growing. There's plenty of appeal here."
From CNET:
"The good: The Gear VR's relatively low price belies a compelling VR experience, and the games are quickly catching up to the hype. The headset is fairly light, and offers a completely cordless experience. ...
The bottom line: The Gear VR is the best virtual-reality gadget you can buy right now, and a great way to jump into the world of VR gaming and entertainment -- just make sure you own a compatible Samsung phone first."
Here a conclusion from theVerge:
"For people who already own a new Samsung phone, spending $99 for this caliber of virtual reality seems like a no-brainer."
And here are some from over thousand of 5stars Amazon reviews:
"Pro's: Lots of content both free and paid. Inexpensive to get into if you have the right phone. Fully Immersive and entertaining. Its Mobile
Con's: Low Res. Sometimes I can see a screen door effect.
Worth 99 bucks? I cannot stress enough it is worth every penny. Its been a long time since anything fully blew me away. If your on the fence about the more expensive VR thats coming, this is a good way to try it before going all in."
"I literally cried with joy after I first put on these goggles! It was like I had been instantly transported elsewhere! The future is here!"
When did you literally cry with joy when using an iPhone? Let me try answering that. Never? :)

Its a fact and numbee one priority. I mean who want a slow frustrating phone? Dont believe me? You can find YouTube video that a year old iPhone 6s blows Note 7 out of the water by a merce minute! Now thats embarrassing. The Note 7 simply take to long when switching apps for day to day use. Its not for me because i owned Samsung and iPhone. So nothing beats iPhone at the moment. I dont care about the extra features samsung may have becasue i found them praticaly useless.
From now on we will see the same design for 3 years.
Lets pray iPhone back to top 10 chart

Sure VR now looks like nothing, but we will see what google will bring with lg v20. Yes, most of people dont have "anything at that resolution screens to project" that 4k photos/videos. BUT, the thing is, photo has more details, and when you zoom it, it still has high quality sharpness photo details. So you can easily crop image without worrying that it will be crappy quality. Also video in 4K is the same scenario. But I would preffer 60fps technology. 4k 30 fps is a big no for me for video recording.

Those scores which that guy said iPhone could get with note specsheet were ridiculous.
but it just shows how android users read those specs and thinks that 8 cores means huge performance boost, and then when iPhone beat those 8 core phones with only 2 cores they have very difficult to understand that so they came up with all kind of sad excuses because they just can't believe how those 8 core phones didn't beat this "Outdated" iPhone.

"Not according to almost every single major reviewer on the net (when reviewing the Gear VR"
actually most of the reviews end their reviews same way, they don't recommend the gear VR and also are saying there's not much to do in VR world.
just for proving my point, this is first review which i clicked http://www.itpro.co.uk/mobile/26395/samsung-gear-vr-review-1
"Cons
Noticeable ghosting; Occasional stutters in frame rate; A lack of truly compelling content; Only works with Galaxy S6 and S7 phones
Verdict
Samsung's virtual reality headset is a fun entry point for VR novices, but its technological flaws and lack of compelling content limit its long-term appeal"
"This lack of quality experiences is perhaps understandable when the headset is so much cheaper than its rivals, but whereas other headset demos have continually blown us away with their ingenious use of VR technology, our time with the Gear left us feeling distinctly unimpressed.
What's more, we can't help but think this is the type of experience Oculus founder Palmer Luckey might have been talking about when he said that 'really bad VR is the only thing that can kill off VR'. The Gear VR might surprise us by becoming a mass market hit, but we fear its novelty factor will be pretty short-lived. "
here are tons of gear vr glasses, because people don't care about it. even when they got it free they still don't want to keep them.

and like i already said, if want to experience VR i do it with my gaming console or PC which is in another level. but im not going to wear that gear. the biggest problem with VR is size and weight of the equipment to make it mass hit. Very few want to use those glasses, helmets etc.

Hatred blinds you Apple fanboys. You're missing out a lot. VR, even mobile VR - thanks to Samsung- is already amazing right now, and some of its features are even the exact same as the PC based VR have. Things like VR theaters, VR video player for virtual tours or VR movies to come, 360 photo viewer and even some games are so good that they're not that far away from their PC counterparts. And it's completely mobile VR, really lightweight. No PC VR can say that. Read online reviews on Gear VR, some amazon buyers reviews (on the new Gear VR and not the innovator edition) are also a good place to get an idea of how good it truly is on the real world (hint: there are thousands of five stars reviews). Just don't miss out too much on the advancement of VR tech just because Apple is lacking it. ;)

AnonD-234645, 25 Aug 2016for all android vs iOS warriors.
just imagine this. an iPhone with the specs sheet of android... moreLittle correction. AnTuTu does consider the GPU in the test and that's the reason iphone SE can score 130k in AnTuTu because SE has a screen resolution of 1136*640 which doesn't even qualify as HD. Combining that resolution with a powerful GPU it always gonna ace the graphics test. While others such as SGS 7, HTC10, G5 have to push almost 4 times the resolution of HD and still beat the iphone because their SOCs can. Even a SD820 powered iphone SE will beat the twister hands down (but SD powered iphone will be a dream forever).
But,SD820 and exynos8890 are different beasts altogether and they are useful for android only. Using them for iphones will be a waste.
But in the end, I do agree that Twister is monster of a CPU for iphone
