Just one question:
ARE YOU BUYING A SMARTPHONE OR SPEC SHEET????
- if you are buying a smartphone, there is major chance that you will get an iPhone (or any phone that suits you). and then you will use it for 3-5 years (as most of iphone users did)
- if you are buying a spec sheet then this is different thinking, and you will never be satisfied, [since after few days of your purchase, the 2GB ram wil be 3 or 4, the 1080p will be 4 k, the 12 mp camera will become 16 then 21 then 23. the 4 sensors will become 6 or even 8. and so on...]
JUST GET THE PHONE YOU WANT AND STOP ARGUING.
Gotta hand it to Apple. If this turns out to be true then that is one of the sneakiest and smartest moves by Apple. I mean Samsung skipped Note 6 just so they could come on par not just with their own Galaxy line up but also with Apple but now this rumor that the new phone might be called Iphone 6SE will just show that even though they are a number behind or a model behind then Samsung they still have compatible phones if not above them. That's quite cheeky.
It's Fake,
Look Carefully In "IOS 10" in Geekbench.
[deleted post]"no VR (because of same resolution) lol always late to the party - wait another year loyal Apple fanatics, or two. "
Good advice, because VR is so bad still. And better late than offering same crappy experience. Lets talk about VR when VR glasses are like sunglasses size and weight.
By the way if i want to experience VR i just go and buy it for my PC or use with gaming console, why would i want crappy mobile VR? if i can get so much better... :D
it's so funny to read how important this VR just became for sammy boys.
Samsung is giving free these VR glasses with all of their flagships because no-one isn't goint to buy them and guess what, websites who sells used stuff are full of these gear VR glasses. Hardly no-one cares it because its very early and badly executed and also there's not much apps/games to use with it. Most of people test it once and then sell it away.
This is a fake phone.
AnonD-234645, 25 Aug 2016for all android vs iOS warriors.
just imagine this. an iPhone with the specs sheet of android... moresorry but you are so wrong that is very laughable.
But perfect example how you android users clearly see those specs in your head, i didnt even know it was this serious.
No wonder why android users gets so mad when iPhone beat every android phone in the market every year if you guys see your specsheet like that...
that was ridiculous.
Going through the comments, really there are objective people who explains things nicely and fairly (regarding iOS and Android or Sam and Apple). For sure there are too many fans who are much biased.
My point is, there is no final judgement which of the pairs I mentioned above is superior to the other, it is an ongoing process/battle of evolution, both of the companies are working hard to keep it up. So, where is the problem??
you know?? the fans are the problem, they try to prove that their beloved firm is the best without objective rationale.
I can tell you that there is no absolute answer to the question, MAY be Galaxy is better, Maybe iphone is better. it all depends on what you need from your phone, the budget you have, how often you change your phone, how you use your phone....and so on.
Example: someone who is so busy (researcher, lawyer, scientist, running own business....you get my point, right? ), who has NO time to play-around with his mobile, needs fast responses to specific tasks like calling someone, scheduling, reminders, online banking, pay with his mobile, subscribe for online business solutions...etc, in the meantime, phone budget is not his concern, if you ask those people: which phone they prefer, I am pretty sure that larger proportion of them will choose an iphone. (do not get me wrong, this is not meaning that there is no businessman with galaxy phone, of course there are much).
AND if there is someone who like to tweak and play around with his phone, change the themes, take much photos, like to upload movies and videos from his computer, watch much of YouTube, Netflix, a gamer, a cruiser, have a limited access to internet or has internet with lower speed, or of limited data plan, of course will opt to Galaxy (cause ios needs better internet to upload to cloud , which is pain for the majority of people in lower and middle income counties). THIS ALSO APPLIES FOR ANY ANDROID PHONE, not particularly galaxy.
for all android vs iOS warriors.
just imagine this. an iPhone with the specs sheet of android. (let's say for example the Exynos 8890) if with TWO cores and "just" 2 GB ram this phone scores 130k pts in antutu. imagine what would happen with 8 cores. (x2 Apple A9X Clocked at 2.3 GHz, equals to four cores + x2 Apple A9 downclocked to 1.6 GHz, that's another 4 like samsung's. and 4 GB ram) if ONE chipset scores roughly 150k, then this phone will overkill android with over 700k points in antutu. and even the BEST of the BEST of android won't be able to even scratch that with android's current tech. (ofcourse. I guess that to manage that. you'll need a battery of 3,500 mAh for the 4.7in and 5,000 for the 5.5)
you need to understand that apple focuses on SINGLE CORE power. and not multicore!
Android user here tho. END THIS WAR!
Peace.

In this iOS vs Android war, I would only say if you want to compare these 2 OSes, then just compare iPhone with Nexus. Stock iOS (I know its always stock only) vs stock Android. Original vs Original. I bet you will find both better with each one having their own sets of pros and cons. It just depends on what you like, prefer and comfortable with. End of OS war. Peace.
Yaayyyy, now we have to wait 3 years of redesign iPhone, that's innovation love u apple

The Sony XA Ultra gets 7:50 web and 7:59 video
The GN7 gets 11:08 web and 16:46 video.
I have 2 friends with Sony phones and both constantly complaining about battery life.

I pay attention to phones if they can hit 12h in both web and video playback. I really don't care about talk time since I rarely talk on the phone and not for 20h straight. I see phones get lower ratings here but still excel in web and video. My Moto E2 4G is a prime example of only 82h rating but it gives me 12-13h SOT since I browse mostly on it.
Commentors, 25 Aug 2016 " In fact, you could run devices without ram, but it would take a very very long time to do e... moreSorry for not being clear in that post. When I said using a device without RAM I meant using an SSD instead of it, but they are much much slower and random access time is also much slower and that'd mean very very slow, unusably slow loading times. SSDs would really be a bottleneck to CPUs because most of the time they'd have to wait for tens of thousands of cpu cycles to get information on what to do next. Also SSDs wouldn't last long. They have a very limited lifespan. RAM has very fast random access time. SSD would range in miliseconds and ram would range in nanoseconds. After I wrote all this I'm starting to think that what I wrote contradicts to what I said earlier. Using SSDs instead of ram would make SSDs ram. Well... sorry for wasting your time if that's the case.
I don't care what they call it. The return of that fix me physical home button is more disappointing to read about. AssistiveTouch and iOS10's "raise to wake" helps but you will still be pressing that physical home button alot since iOS lacks a back button.
On Android, you can return to the homescreen from an app pressing home and back. AssistiveTouch introduced from iOS6 gets annoying especially when playing games and doing an extra tap or two. S7 edge and Note7 are better phones than this 6SE.
All In One Gestures, Nova Prime, Screen Off & Lock, and Wakeup Touch Nexus apps eliminates the need to press physical buttons to wake or turn off screen. Physical buttons are archaic since they all wear out with enough presses.
[deleted post]He is right but, the latest Sony phones have VERY ordinary battery life.
The latest 4 Sony phones are 67, 55, 54 and 48 hours (average 56).
New phones should be 85+ hours.
AnonD-1825, 24 Aug 2016Of course i get it but mentioning it like braggin is so so ridiculous. Again why would i want ... moreThe only reason that you see note 7 or any other samsung devices has lag is because, of heavy customization of samsung shitty Touchwiz. It does not mean that iphone has better hardwere or softwere, I bet if you use note 7 with pure android you will never see any lags. The fact that note 7 has more professional hardwere than any iphone models and apple without IOS cannot compate with new android flagships is so abvious. One day when any company (specially chinese companies) create a mobile os that can run apple and android apps together and bring customizations and features of both os, apple will be a dead company.
