Marketing Department told them to stop using Mediatek chipsets so the poor engineers did what they could
soceeer, 25 Aug 2016Snapdragon 400 is so old. Back in 2013, the original moto G has it. Poor choose for HTC in 2016.the snapdragon 400 is really quite a decent chip even today. my original motoG still works quite nicely, has decent battery life and is quite snappy for day to day use. admittedly i don't use it for games except for angry birds at times. but for calls, email and whatapp as well as to take the occasional photo it's really quite a nice phone.
They did release a phone with s400 recently so they can do it again never know what happens
SaRPeR, 25 Aug 2016Really ? Snapdragon 400 in 2016 ? They should have at least used the new Snapdragon 430.Man that would have costed them the quite a few bucks as compared this shit they probably are getting for free from Qualcomm so that they clear their last s400 stock
Karly, 25 Aug 2016I thought they discontinued that chipset. They did. It was phased out in favor of the newer 64 bit SoCs of the same 400 series.
