I would ONLY buy a compact flagship phone, even if it means I have to get a Sony.

I would like to see a compact range with top shelf hardware.
I think sony had a big hit with the z3 compact but the new series they screwed on a massive scale.....
I do prefer a smaller handset 5 inch or under and its simple to use single thumbly.
My previous handset was a zte fit 4g and was perfect in all but screen ways if it had a better display i would still be ising at the front line, previous to that was the note 2 n7105 but when couple with a zerolemon battery dont even think about using with one hand.

I like the idea of compact yet powerful device, but I want it to be no bigger than 5.2 inches in diagonal, and no smaller than 5 inches. Anything smaller is unusual to me after LG G2.

I plan to get S7 or Nexus 5X or next Nexus by HTC (the 5inch one). Or something of that sort, since 5.5 inch screens are just a bit too big for me.

OMG
I can't believe how many ppl when speaking of 'perfect size', still confuse the size of the phone with the size of the display.
Come on.
If Samsung make 4.5'' phone with the same design of Note7(not gs edge) it would be same size phone as iPhone SE. And damn beautiful... as jewelry.

This is true, compact phone is practical for every day use .I have xperia Z3 dual sim but I broke its screen twice only because I usually Wear jeans and while riding bike its really on the edge so I like the idea of compact phone larger phones are for office going or for women who carry purse or bag so my vote is for compact Phone

Not a lover of big slabs of metal or plastic, 5 inches is the biggest for me. Plus big phones still look stupid and the iphone 6s plus is just so ugly! I think the Sony compact phones are awesome and I may upgrade from my Z to the new compact flagship

I would like a company to return to making phones with landscape sliding QWERTY hardware keyboards. Software keyboards will never be as accurate as my old Xperia Pro.

I swapped a Redmi Note 2 for a Moto E2 because of the big screen. My dad loves it, I was tired of having to use both hands to navigate. To each their own, but I'm still looking for a decent phone that is max 5" in size. So it's a definite YES to the poll question.

I would like something like 3.5-4.0", almost without bezels, quite thin and without cameras, unlocked so that I could port Sailfish OS on it.

The added performance of a SD800 series soc are felt more tangibly on a compact phone. After having 3 of Sony's Z compacts I will honestly say the next phone for me, as a power user, avid photographer and someone with 11" hands, will be a 4.6-4.8" phone.
They are more prone to survive drops and falls, especially in the construction business.
