Wouldn't that still be a policy violation? What he messages is none of anyone's business, right?
And those unknown girls I see as friend suggestions without mutual friends, you mean they all have my number??

You will notice that all your phone contacts are uploaded to facebook servers, which is usually not visible through the web interface of facebook or the facebook app itself.
Now, if someone has your number saved in his phone, the facebook friend suggestion algorithm "decides" her/she is your "contact/friend" because unless one need to continue being in touch the numbers may not be saved! hence the friends suggestions start appearing against the phone contacts. Simple
I strongly dislike and I am suspicious about this matter and I hope everybody should boycott and sign a petition against this act of whatsapp
jrmhjhn, 28 Aug 2016forget whatssap, get telegram problem solve!!!I agree. I've been using Telegram from last year. Great messaging app, native password and had an encrypted setup LONG before whatsapp did. I haven't used facebook since May and have decide ro not do so until maybe some time next year. Just can't be bothered. I wish they would stop all this. If i need to find something, I'll find it, if I'm to know something, eventually I'll know. Just stop forcing your ads and whatever other invasive crap you have on us.
Facebook is like those evil companies in movies stealing and selling user data, and spying on users.

I chat with someone who bought my note 5. And suddenly he appears on my fb friend suggestion
One day prior to that, I received the new T&C but I just close it, didn't agree to it. So how come someone I never knew, only in WA, suddenly appears in FB?
I got this too, but still thinking whether to accept it. C'mon facebook, rethink. I may decline this, my friends as well.

Yes, I recently got these Terms and Conditions on my Whatsapp and I unchecked the box, basically saying no to this concept of data sharing.
But I do not understand how a shopkeeper, whom I just had a chat on Whatsapp with, ended up on my "Facebook Friend Suggestions".
This happened about 15-20 days ago from now, which is before the change in Whatsapp's T&C. This means, I was not informed of this info interchange before, but it happened.
Additional information:- I have FB and Whatsapp's latest versions installed on my Android phone. Whatsapp one would be beta version. Through the play store, I applied for Beta testing of Whatsapp versions earlier... which means I get them before the normal crowd gets it.
BUT, this set of T&C was not presented to me.
