Samarth N8 808 user, 01 Sep 2016Its an explosion by Reliance Jio... But my question is, what's the catch?
The last time I c... moreIt's all data network. THe calls you make is not like in other networks, it works on data only.
So if the data quota is reduced for free GB's the network will not be congested like now. So voice will stabilize. That's why they are promoting Jio Wifi.
I further expect cheaper plans while launch (Jan 2017) to bring surprise to competing companies.
If it is revealed now they will do something to retain their customers.
Guys, For all the comments, Be wise, the 299 plan covers almost all the BASIC requirements. The charges that JIO is charging are NOT game changer, Yes, But well, it's business, what were you expecting.
The Point is, the charges also include validity.
Bills for most of the consumers will be higher with JIO, but then, It's you choice.
IF you are a avid caller with minimal data usage, maybe you should consider switching to Jio.
And the other Telcos will be reacting to this shift
Nitz, 01 Sep 2016There is a plan of 299 also in which you get 2gb + unlimited night Data for 21 daysUnlimited night data from 2am to 5am.lol
Samarth N8 808 user, 01 Sep 2016Its an explosion by Reliance Jio... But my question is, what's the catch? The last time I c... more2 things as its the way Reliance operate 1) volume 2) their cost of infra has always been lower than competition as they get either tax break (search for tax policy approved earlier only applicable to reliance telecom) or cheaper licence as they have "deep connections"
4GFan, 01 Sep 2016FREE Voice call is NO BRAINIER, since it's challenging to track the voice calls routed via LTE... moreBro... They also included that jionet wifi access which is double the data given to you. If you consider both the price per gb data is less than 50.. you cannot file a complaint...
first of all jai hind , the world cheapest mobile service in india . hope quality of call also good . proud to be an indian jai hind , joi shaan se.. next go and hand on ...jio
Its an explosion by Reliance Jio... But my question is, what's the catch?
The last time I checked they were installing apps on my phone on request... Without letting me see the permissions the apps used.
Anyhow, even if they annouce such cheap plans, how will the quality be maintained?
wonderful offer... all will move to Jio.
other carriers will have tough time.
FREE Voice call is NO BRAINIER, since it's challenging to track the voice calls routed via LTE [Data frequencies] further their covering is still not upto the mark, causing 65% call drop, smartly they have kept it FREE for now, shall milk later once the Network is fully functional..
Marketing gimmic of Rs.50/GB, Rs.4999/75GB data works out to Rs.67/GB is although lower as compared to incumbents existing plans. However not on the expected line of Rs.10/GB. Further they have Preview Offer with UNLIMITED usage, however none of the data tariff plan offers unlimited usage....
Such grey area is the breeding ground for litigation, Competitors shall soon file against RJio, @Rs.50/GB. for 75GB, one has to pay only Rs.3750/- why Rs.4999/- given that Voice calls, SMSes, Night usage, Jio Apps & WiFi Hotspot usage are totally FREE...
Mr.Mukesh Ambani is gulling the common man. The difference of Rs.1249/- [4999 - 3750] is collected for the Voice calls in disguise of data charges....
thumbs down... JIO !!!
Bob, 01 Sep 2016Jio has easily missed on good chunk of Customers who normally spend 200 - 250 rupees per month... moreThere is a plan of 299 also in which you get 2gb + unlimited night Data for 21 days
75% of the revenue of Airtel, Idea, Vodafone, Tata & other telecom operators, is from Voice packs... Jio offering that absolutely FREE & Targeting 90% of the population shall be going for Jio. Let's say even 60crs[50% of population] subscribers even go for the lowest tariff Rs.149/- yet each month[sorry not month only 28days that makes 13mths a year] the revenue shall be Rs.8940crs.. Jio shall recover all their investments of Rs.150,000crs in just 16mths.. max 18mths...
Anonymous, 01 Sep 2016lol what people do for some data. dont you got DSL? Get it will be cheaper with unlimited down... moreIts India bro...
They were so behind in telecommunications,so its easier for them now to leap directly to mobile comm. and leapfrog the good old cables ^_^
When he says that local call are free does that mean i can get a sim without any data plan and have free calls on volte? Or do i need a data plan as well? I have a redmi note 3,i don't plan on using it for data but free calls are what i want to know, anyone? Thanks in advance
