I'm a fan of samsung (maybe was a fan!) and I was going to buy Note 7
But now i'm thinking Asus zenfone 3 deluxe as a better option!
I think my safety is more valuable than the S-pen!
I have galaxy Note 10.1 2014 for 2.5 years and i like it very much but i feel that Note 7 is not a good Note!

Coz Samsung is one of the major supplier to Apple and Samsung would have been very well aware of Apple dates.
Just to be ahead of Apple, this could have happened.
But surprisingly this should not have been the case. Samsung has an average of 1 handset released every week. With this as fact they should have best QC and QA in place. Or it can be viewed as - there is not checking and all devices are assumed to be good and released.
Over confidence and haste sometimes kills.
Now - if Samsung instead had designed the Note7 for a user replaceable battery then Samsung could just have given customers a new battery for themselves to install. Will they never learn? (schadenfreude). Reminds me of Takata airbags and Hondas. recalling can get quite expensive. But Samsung has now learned to also sample test the batteries coming of the conveyor belt.
Guys as I said before the Galaxy Note7 got too many problems unless if you chose the "Lucky one" kind of rare good luck to all of you.

I suspect this happened because accountants and marketing departments are making decisions about release dates without reference to technical realities from the appropriate people and as a result the phone was rushed to market before it was truly ready. There have been several pointers to it being a "rush job" at any price, to get it out ahead of the iPhone 7. First it is announced it will come with MM only for LG to announce two days later their V20 will release with Nougart. Not a showstopper but probably an indicator. Then it is supply shortages, then S-Pen problems and now this. This phone should have been announced at IFA along with everyone else's latest and greatest. Instead Samsung rushed it out and here is the result I suspect.
What a farce. They can't simply point the finger as it's clear they haven't had extensive QA checks like a premium handset manufacturer should.
If this was Apple, the media would be all over this, and I think it will be once the full extent of the recall is considered.
This is very bad timing, as Apple are due to unveil their new handsets shortly. It's a shame, as Samsung nailed it with the S7 and S7 Edge. Perfect smartphones foillowed by this.
Samsung is fried. Just the other day the S-Pen are reportedly to have stuck in their sockets. Now, it is the batteries.
Echoing the feedback of other folks who posted on this thread: a removable back cover with replaceable battery would have made this disaster less of a, um, disaster.
That's what happens when you seal the battery. Quality issues. Where is the good ol Samsung where her hardware had added value to Apple's.
Now it's as unservicable as Apple's. No differentiation, why should I not prefer an iPhone thus, given how fast it is and how much more support it gets?
Samsung shot themselves on the foot and I don't know why.
AnonD-456472, 01 Sep 2016which countries got the ITM battery? can you please tell us????All the batteries in Galaxy Note7, regardless Exynos or Snapdragon version are using Korean ITM Semiconductor manufactured batteries. ITM is probably too rushed to make this phone and skip safety procedure. Now, we know Samsung will never work with ITM anymore in the future. I wonder why Samsung don't develop in-house battery. They good at making everything by themselves.
their shares has dropped big time, google bbc news Samsung shares drop.
what about Canada and USA now?
AnonD-548804, 01 Sep 2016So when will it be available to buy in uk?I've seen it in a showroom at three. Played with if for like 15mins, but so far, it's only up for pre-order at all carriers.
Oh my God, imagine someone unlocking his phone by iris scanner then booooom, then wa wi wa wi then he was a good man :(.
