Tried this phone today as was considering exchanging for Galaxy S.

WHAT A JOKE- LAG LAG LAG LAG LAG LAG LAG

When you touch anything on the screen it takes at least 2 seconds to react.

I compared both video cameras Galaxy and N8 and again Galaxy blows it away as it has auto focus and 30fps

I waited on the N8 for 9 months and what a joke.

I just wish one day NOKIA would release another phone as good as N95

People who watch a lot of movies will recognize 'em, I myself saw at least 5 (besides Pam and Slum Dog) people that I can point out from other movies. Nicely done.

LOL LOL and LOOOL again! look at time-line 2:23 to 2:29 and you'll see that behind the main character, at the end of the alley(where he left his bike), you'll notice one man wearing a hoody (actually you'll see him from the shoulders up) and behind that man is another one. They are the staff people who filmed the scene when he got off the bicycle! Amateurs! LOL LOL and LOOOOL! =))Otherwise the videoclip is ok.Although I think they exaggerate by misleading people into thinking that the phone can replace a dedicated professional (or even amateur) camcorder. Peace!

And of course it was "tweaked" in post. I think the word you're looking for is "graded". Every good movie will go through grading as a matter of course, even (Or especially) something shot on Red, let alone a N8.

And if anyone bothered to note there was significantly better doF control than you'll find with the average consumer camcorder, HD or not.

Yes, I saw moire on certain shots (Tiled roofs etc), but I see that on my 550D, and quite a bit of skew.

But we're talking a cameraphone for heaven's sake not a $30k+ Red package.

As far as I'm concerned I may well go and put some N8 clips together.

Now, can we all talk about the film, which is, after all the subject under discussion and not play "my dad can beat up your dad" games.

                                Sad. Really really sad.
We get a really fun little movie, does anyone critique it?
                                No

We get sallow spotty teenagers who never go out and whose best friend is their computer playing schoolyard yah boo sucks.

Go out, shoot some movies and then comment on the film which had me ROFL, but then I do shoot the odd short film.

Can't wait to mount mine on my Sachtler and shoot a short of my own

You have to take into account that everything you see on tele has been proffessionally done, even newscasters have spentd hours in make up and all the studio is rigged with pro lighting and pro cmeras.Even adverts are cropped edited tweaked enhanced. All the soap operas we watch the actors are in make up for hours and the shooting is done in studios all specially set up with pro kit.

What i recorded this afternoon on my n8 was raw footage and looked pretty good and clear and quite detailed on my 24inch 1080p tv.You do get slight artifacts but rolling shutter is not evident like it is on vivaz pro.I am however goig to do some wave v n8 hd vid tests to see which one is best but from basic footage n8 has lots more light in videos giving better lower lioght contrast and can zoom up to 3x and still keep full hd like n86 real zoom effect.loving n8 so far .

how i see it. the video was generally good. but suffers in low light, also cant cope with fast action shots. but overall for a HD video it was good.

must of cost a fortune in actor fees. but nokia can afford it. bit jerky in places but that could of been the rendering of the video online.
