Just installed it and typing this message on it now. The speed is the best feature. When you have a slug of a phone as the N97, speed is king. As for zooming, I rarely ever want to zoom. It seems that Opera Mini's default zoom level is perfect for my needs almost all the time.

I'll prefer it over Opera Mobile coz Opera Mini compresses pages more than Opera Mobile does so it's faster n it make sense in those places where 3g not available. Using Opera Mobile over EDGE is way too painful. Except it..Opera Mobile automatically stops on my Nokia C5-00. Thanx a lot Opera..!

Yes. I prefer opera mini over opera mobile as mini is less resource hungry unlike opera mobile which is very sluggish on my nokia 6220 classic and gives "memory full" error most of the time. For regular browsing, opera mini is best. Opera mobile is useful only in the circumstances where you rely on javascript.

One more thing, native code is always faster than its java counterpart on any platform. So, Opera Mini 5.1 beta is a definitely YES over Opera Mobile and Opera Mini 5.1 J2ME.

Yes, it has a few bugs right now but soon they will be fixed in future versions.

I think Now GSMArena knows why one would prefer opera mini symbian edition over opera mobile :-)

"Why would you prefer the trimmed down Opera Mini over the vastly superior Opera Mobile browser is beyond us."

                            Why?!? I'll tell you why.

Opera Mini is way faster than Opera Mobile, especially when you use the back button to view the previous page.

Opera Mini never gives me out of memory errors on my N97. I do not have to close down Gravity and my email in order to browse.

Opera Mini allows me to change the font size on web pages to make it easier for me to read.

GOOD NEWS! Between have you ever try Opera Mobile 10.1 beta 1 (not beta 2)? I've never get something like 'out of memory' , and it never crash or close itself unlike the Opera Mobile 10 ("stable version") or the 10.1 beta 2 or the. However my phone modele is not detected getjar mobile with the new native mini. But it's by far far smother than Opera Mini 4 and 5 java version. Just like it was in version 2 and 3. Hahaa. Thank you.
