An HTC Hero with Desire spec, slightly thinner maybe. Running 2.2, at midrange price. That would make sense.

Hope to see performance at least as of Moto Milestone 2 or Bravo/Defy with at least 3,5'' WVGA display and thin (so without keyboard)

since android is an open source, why they always sell their handset for overprice? US$ 600+ for me it's really wow... seems better if i spend those money into laptop. but i do fall in love with Desire Z..... cant wait for its 2nd hand next year :)))

It would be nice to have the hero form factor, maybe slimmer, the new 800 Mhz CPU, and Sharp's new "retina" IPS LCD

Now that looks good. Legend and hero looks good, but the specs are outdated and so i have always dreamed of that kind of design to be used with an up-to-date internals. Here it comes.

I hope it will come on a price reasonable enough for the likes of me. Don't want it on the price range of desire HD. I can only dream.

About the name. Isn't it an anime genre? Mecha stands for mechanical / any anime about machines. Where do they get their names btw.

Robert, 28 Oct 2010There's a much higher chance that it's just a placeholder image while they get another one sor... moreI don't think their high end sales plan are that much of a problem. Or any of their sales plan really.

                              Desire HD: Super phone
                              Desire Z: Business handset
                              Desire: High grade all rounder

                              Legend: Comfortable mid range
Gratia: hmm...personally I see the Gratia as being somewhat superfluous in light of the Legend.

                              Wildfire: Budget.

I too, in a logical sense, imagine that it is merely a placeholder image.

Also, as big a fan I am of HTC, they've got to stop mass producing a thousand different varieties of phone. At least create 1 flagship phone that keeps the same name a la iPhone etc.

Well personally, I'd love an old hero with new software. Unless of course they can shoehorn a slightly larger processor. That way it would be a far more attractive version of a Legend.
