Duel, 28 Oct 2010So still not any proof that this new browser is going to be any smoother. Where's the ".c... moreNot all of us live in America... I browse a lot more .co.za websites than .com ones.

Duel, 28 Oct 2010So still not any proof that this new browser is going to be any smoother. Where's the ".c... moreBackwards scrolling was with a nice little gesture. Swipe back with two fingers I think.

I dont get the .com button seems completely useless. With N900 you can just stop writing and hit Enter => browser automatically adds ending (defaults at .com,adds others if you have been there before). I hope something similar with the new browser.

Extra buttons just clutter the interface & are useless. So thumbs up for this and thumbs down for other smartphones? ;)

So still not any proof that this new browser is going to be any smoother. Where's the ".com" button? every other brand phones have it, its very handy. Where's buttons for fast back/forward site browsing.

If this is the new BIG browser, i have to say i waited little bit more.

I'd like to clarify that I am an avid Nokia supporter however with the N8's current price scheme and availability it is really hard to remain objective: current price for the N8 is 509 euros while the HTC desire goes for 499 euros.

I live in Athens Greece where we currently enjoy a 23% VAT so don't be surprised if the phones seem a bit overpriced.

A release date for this should be made official. A lot of people are still holding out on the N8 until all the dings have been nailed down. To be honest if these updates are scheduled for a January release then it'll be too late and most people(including me) will simply switch to Android... As of November 2010 I'm honestly running out of excuses not to do so.

Nokia is listening. Awesome. One of the advantages of controlling your own OS is that you actually CAN respond.

N8 will become even more awesome. Too bad it seems already hard to get your hands on one in many countries.
