Plenty of people are saying this latest update has meant the phone constantly restarting and the battery overheating.
I just got back from the Samsung store and they managed to boot the phone. Apparently the phone OS had basically everything switched on and that was causing the battery to drain faster than it charged.
They ran some tests and it appeared fine, but 5 minutes ago it started the sequence of shutting down and restarting again.
So I'm going to have to go back tomorrow and have it taken in, or wait for people to actually admit that Samsung have put out a fatal update and put out a fixed one.
Ekithump - This is surprising that your phone has been bricked. Looks like you have playd around with some settings. It doesn't happen for 99% of the customers who are not rooted so you have messed up something
...and it's bricked my S7 Edge. Way to go Samsung/Google. I'm now stuck with a "bootloader exception" screen with no fix other than to return the damn thing to Vodafone for repair.
Why My S7 Is Saying That There Are No Updates Available When I Only Have The March Security Patch??
