Terrible...first time i see charging a mobile device destroying a jeep car
There is no official recall yet because Samsung has not gone through the US consumer protection agency. It's more of a volunteer return program. Look up Samsung Reddit. These phones are blowing up left and right. Even without the chaefer.
These type of stories. You have got to wonder if they're really true or just made up to further damage samsung's reputation. I wouldn't be surprised if other companies paid people in order to fabricate accidents like these where a recalled device is involved. I agree that some stories are real. But this one jsut seems too ridiculous.
[deleted post]Samsung rushed a phone to market with explosive batteries. Please don't make excuses for their shoddy engineering. It is TOTALLY their fault.
He should have sent his phone. That cannot be considered as Samsung's fault, since they recalled it a while before this event. He should switch back to Samsung since it was his entire fault. PS: if the car hadn't the air conditioning ON, the heat could have started up a fire in ANY phone. I do not like people jumping to the conclusion without thinking a second
