Bharat, 30 Oct 2010hey what about the screen does it now support 16M colors instead of 65K??? how good are the... moreNo. The update does not come with 16m colours. Why do people keep asking this stupid question? Firstly it's not in the list of updates that SE have provided. Secondly it's news all over forums that SE stated the screen will remain 65k colour. Do some research before posting up silly questions. Same goes for the multitouch. NO multitouch on SE ever!

Alex Z, 30 Oct 2010Names Bond i understand you but as far as the length is concern i do understand you as i ha... morelook, this isn't experimenting with guinea pigs at the chemistry lab! you can't just release a phone & then just totally forget your consumers. i don't own a Satio but it's ridiculous to know that they're upset with their purchase as to date! they knew symbian was struggling at the time they announced the product, but they thought hey, may be we can "reinvent" it by doing a hybrid of symbian & their home grown os, which they did deliver BUT they never got back to it cause they got busy with other phones, which by the way took forever to release too (referring to phones that came out after the Satio), and look how we're stuck with 1.6 here EVEN though they took so long to release the X10.
good directors often make just 1 movie a year, takes their time to chisel every nooks & corner & polish it to perfection! but it's a disappointment when the movie has an outdated storyline or doesn't deliver. same goes for SE now, sure they come up with good phones, perhaps the best looking phones in the market, they take their sweet ass time releasing a unit BUT thing is they leave us out-dated! & you can't deny it, even being a SE fan just like me.
i have the white X10, bought it from Rogers & waited ever since for an update, like i have been waiting for gran turismo 5! funny how they're coming out at the same time by the way lol :P
                                  anyways, cheers mate! :D

Anonymous, 30 Oct 2010Urm.. if you were a loyal fan you would be supportive and understand that they're choosing to ... morethis is where your & my views differ. I support the fact that they're updating & we know it takes a while BUT I don't support the fact for it to take THIS long. I don't mind using 1.6, but as we all know 2.1 promises a lot of good stuff, but that doesn't mean they require this much time, considering they're SE, a company who spends a lot on R&D, compared to it's competitors!
Samsung didn't test it properly hence they had to pull it back from the consumers, but SE is taking way too long here. & plus, it's not even a global release. they're rolling it out on a location basis, which again is another ridiculous attempt since it is discriminating the consumers to some extent.
                                    cheers!

i understand you but as far as the length is concern i do understand you as i have waited more then 5 months for this update but ask youself is the 1.6 build rock solid compare to all other HTC and Samsung offering?just go to dedicated forum for other android phone, at a glimsy the X10 is less problematic than almost all others.

As far as Satio is concern( which i own also)there isnt much room for improvement as the useless symbian OS is slow by itself. Not much SE can do about it, when you think about it Nokia itself pretty much abandon it themself as they invest heavily on symbian^3 and MeeGo which is completely new platform.
