As I can figure out from the images, Sony is still keeping the same "painting effect" look and oversharpening. I've compared the samples with images taken with the Samsung Galaxy S7/S7 Edge/Note7. At this time and in my opinion Sony will need to pull the strings even more to get close to Samsung regarding the camera department. Now having Apple with, hopefully, their very good camera on the iPhone 7, the competition is very tight. :)
You always make bad fotos with Sony phones... my Sony phones do much better pictures.. I wonder why.
[deleted post]First, it's a flagship phone. Do you expect it to be priced at $200? it may not be as cheap as you want, but that's if you dare to spend $400 for a OnePlus 3 which has overall inferior capabilities compared to this true flagship.
Second, Sony has plenty of trolls around the world to spread fake information about Sony, trying to criticize them and bash them, and have everyone believe that their products are crap. Because to them, they feel uncomfortable when Sony does something. Sony products are a big threat to them, meaning that their favorite brand will lose because of how superior Sony is compared to them, so they do whatever they can just to prevent their favorite brand from being defeated by Sony
RS The Best, 09 Sep 2016When did xperia z5 beat galaxy s7....go home kid u are drunk! How? By using my brain and testing both phones in real life. You wouldn't want me to show you a sample of the Z5 beating the S7. Go back to sleep and keep dreaming
Now thats one hell of a camera. Coming from note 7, thats a very good selfie shot. Its natural.
Dalekana, 09 Sep 2016Why can't Sony use a faster lens? f2.0 is not fast enough for low light photography. No amount... moreNeither is f1.7 or so. A phone should have an aperture the same size as a DSLR to produce nicer low light images. Look at the Nexus 6P. It only has f2.0 lens but it does very well in low light. So as Sony

I have tried an Xperia Z5 already and it captured better photos than the S7 and iPhone 6s Plus, be it daylight, indoor well-lit, or low light. Even DxOMark agrees that Sony is no doubt the best camera smartphone 'til date. Soon, they'll be testing out the Note 7, V20, iPhone 7 and 7 Plus, and Xperia XZ and mark my words, the XZ will be ranked the highest

The image you will show should not have noise, overexposure, oversaturation, and aggressive sharpening. If you fail to do so, there's no reason to complain about these image. If you are literally blinded by fake comments of trolls about Sony, then I'm not surprised anymore
I must be missing some inside joke or something because people say THIS, is great!? These pictures are absolutely terrible. Look at the amount of noise, grain and over-processing there is in them. Sony should be ashamed they produce such garbage. They should really replace their whole Xperia team, but considering it's Sony and that company is quickly plunging into the abyss without any guidance, I doubt anything will be done about it.

Once more Sony uses 23 megapixel camera sensor without proper lens size. F 2.0 lens can not support the imx 300 camera sensor. Each pixel cant gain sufficant light and the captured images are not good enough. Shame on Sony engineers!
Sony is amazing. Everything you need in durable phone. Go for Sony. I've bought my Z3 with 900$. I never will pay it for iPhone or Samsung.
Yet again, lots of noise!!! I don't understand how xperias manage to TOP positons in DOX marks!!!
These two pictures down are taken by selfy camera or what???
Im unable to find difference in daylight pictures of its rear camera, its almost the same as my Z5 but wow what a front cam i must say, that clarity. I want that front cam ASAP.
Anonymous, 09 Sep 2016Garbage as usual from sony. The post processing is absolutely horrible. Especially with the leaves.
To fully utilize the Xperia camera will need to set to manual mode...
