Don't worry, Q.C.S.D. 830 will be strong chip because of octa-core processor, which means double the performance.+The new cortex A73 which have 40% extra and 30% extra efficient than a72 with same clockspeed+ TSMC 10nm construction which comes extra power.
Come on guys let's accept the reality! Well done Apple. I'm a lumia 1020 user anyway
SweetrevengePH, 09 Sep 2016You think so? Okay I don't have any problem with Samsung it's just that Samsung has been crap... moreNot flagships dude.... Samsung flagships are finest and yes note 7 is the biggest fault. I didn't say apple had got weak specs . I am saying its overpriced
That low multi-core score tho, even the Huawei P9 and Honor 8, who almost have the same specifications as the iPhone 7 Plus and whom are cheaper, have better scores than that

Again yes benchmarks will come in at the high end, but I would remind all those Orchard Dwellers that this is just one feature which doesn't make up for the many many omission that the iPhone
The WORLD needs an iPhone purely for competition, but many like ne don't need an iPhone
The writing is on the wall and they must have accepted that given all the technical wizardry Apple will NOT be installing memory expansion any time soon
No doubt there will be those queuing days ahead
Onto the Bluetooth Ear Pods $159 so 25% of the basic 32Gb iPhone and iPhone launches being a news worthy event ALL TV NEWS COVERAGE reported on it.
I only mention this as one news channel stated that there are some that will buy anything Apple produce!
Everybody now has a mobile phone and I don't think those without an iPhone hold an iPhone in some sort of high esteem when viewed
I concede that it has sky-high benchmark, but I would be really annoyed if I lost one of the $159 earpod
So despite the iPhone 7 costing an arm and a leg it simply does not have 3 features not on my phone
So not jealous and not disadvantaged
What I will correctly predict is the iPhone7S will have a different design as 3 years and then change
What is most amazing about this article is single core score of 3233. My desktop i7 3770k ivy bridge considered server type cpu beast back in 2012 still relevant these days and very powerful processor, scores 3800 in single core test. A10 fusion is a beast slaughter chip, just unbelievable how fast it is :)
Simon, 09 Sep 2016That is completely not true. I used to think that way also, but Android became exemplary at mu... moreIf you were a software developer you would know that that is not the case. Sure you could hand off simple background task to multiple core but those can easily be handle by one powerful core (which Anandtech also mention). Most applications will have one main thread, this is the important one for performance.
It is simple not possible to solve every task using multi threads, its a fact! As soon as you have to run things sequentially it won't matter how many cores you have, the single thread performance is all that matters.
Try running games for example on a power desktop computer with fewer but faster cores vs a powerful server with slower but alot more cores. Guess which one will be faster...
On the other hand if you run a web server on those same machines that is handling hundreds of simultaneous requests the result will be a much different story.
What scenario do you thing resembles the load you will have on a mobile OS? The desktop or the server load?...
But this does not even matter now since the two cores of the A10 are so fast that they will do the same work as the 4 cores in the exynos.
Anonymous, 09 Sep 2016Its a benchmark test, 4 cores runs slower than 2 in this case simply because they are weaker. ... moreThat is completely not true. I used to think that way also, but Android became exemplary at multithreading, and unden even most CPU-intensive tasks, it will take full advantage of as many cores as you throw at it in most common apps (all Google apps and services, including mobile Chrome!), thus 8-core CPUs are in use and make actual sense. Anand made an excellent article/analysis on this, Google it, it's very interesting and eye-opening read (it was to me).
I checked it by myself running Android on a semi-custom ARM system of 16 very slow A7 cores, all fully utilized during heavy load on all workloads (even Pokemon Go!) I could test except a few apps that would use only 4-8 cores fully.
S6 edge Android 6.0.1 ( GeekBench 4 ) :
Single score : 1410
Multi score: 4300
I think I'll choose iPhone 7 this time.

Apple is so far ahead of the competition right now that even the best possible scenario for a multicore CPU, heavy load on all cores (which pretty much never happens in real applications) is not enough to pull ahead.
Zune, 09 Sep 2016Dude, look at geekbench 4 not 3, the a10 scores are for geekbench 4, on geek bench 4, snappy 8... more4 cores runs slower than 2 cores to balance battery life which is why apple scores higher per core overall they are roughly the same

ARM is not designing the chip, Apple is. It's is not customized ARM reference cores was my point.
Oven, 09 Sep 2016So what is the GeekBench 4 result of Note7?2330 and 5360 for Single and Multi core respectively... Apple as always trounces the competition in single core benchmarks, and an Octa-core SD performs about the same as a dual-core A-series processor.
Anonymous, 09 Sep 2016Did you know apple chips are customized ARM and manufactured by Tsmc and Samsung right ? wow i... moreNvidia's graphics chips are manufactured by tsmc, but that does not mean anything, does it? Quit the "Apple does not make anything, everyone else don't for them" talk, just show how stupid you are

A10 is the fastest SoC this year, even faster than the snappy 821 which is not yet on the market
