It looks like Xiaomi is trying to get their flagship to explode as well.
funkboy, 11 Sep 2016As long as they don't overclock the battery à la Samsung :-)lol
this spects actually for exclusive model (or pro) ; and this model not new ...
I don't want to spoil the hate here but those "Overclocked" specs are actually the exact Snapdragon 820 specs that should be!!! They are NOT overclocked at all! The cheapest version of the Mi5 (3GB RAM/32GB ROM) was intentionally Underclocked to 1.8GHz...
Most probably in the beginning Qualcomm was selling B grade chips that failed the stock speed tests cheaper. Now somebody have found that the chips can actually work OK on stock speeds and is flashing the kernel from the 64GB version most probably... So basically according to SD 820 Specs, there is NO Overclocking. Just putting the SoC back to specs!
divis200, 10 Sep 2016It's Singapore that's ridiculous. It's the most expensive city in the world. What are you tryi... moreXiaomi is ridiculous. They didn't put such high markups on the Redmi line, just on the Mi line, to trick consumers into paying more than they're supposed to. I guess they are trying to make consumers think the Mi5 as a fancy phone, while in reality it breaks like a twig.
nick, 10 Sep 2016Overclocked? Really? These are clocks from standard Snapdragon 820, regular 32GB Mi5 has lower... moreSoon they will need to install a heat sink like PC or water cooling type for the overclocking purpose.
Joon, 10 Sep 2016Nop it is not. Don't compare frequency but realy performance.
Even in benchmark iPhone 7 is ... moreI dont care about test i am speaking about real life use of phone.
And as said comparing price and specs any chinese phone can outrun Apple.
Anonymous, 10 Sep 2016Iphone 7 killer.iphone 7 was already killed by other android's
Assefa, 10 Sep 2016yes they are apart of asia but custom is to protect each individual country being in the same ... moreDon't compare Carribean to Singapore. They're totally different countries in different continents. You have to pay customs only if you live in another continent from where the product is sent.
divis200, 10 Sep 2016Have you considered Singapore is in Asia? There would be no custom duties.yes they are apart of asia but custom is to protect each individual country being in the same region is not enough, goods still has to be monitored and that monitoring is not for free unless there is some deal between the countries if singapore pays no tariff i would be seriously surprised.. unless of course there is some deal im unaware of
i live in the carribean i sure as hell have to pay customs if i buy online from countries like trinidad and tobago or ship anything and we are all apart of one region
Overclocked? Really? These are clocks from standard Snapdragon 820, regular 32GB Mi5 has lower clocked version. But 64GB Mi5 has SD820 with full clocks - 2,15GHz for CPU and 624MHz for GPU. Your article is about nothing, these are the clocks that 64GB Mi5 always had.
pika2000, 10 Sep 2016The Mi5 supports band 1/3/5/7/38/39/40/41 AT&T uses 2/4/17 T-Mobile uses 2/4/12 So no... moreOh snap I'm even more grateful that I decided to not buy this fragile phone, my carrier provider only supports 2/4/12.
Just get the Prime version instead lol this reeks of desperation from Ziaomeh.
Cpt. Power, 10 Sep 2016No hes not. If u compare its pecs and price with Iphone 7 this phone is waaaaaay betterNop it is not. Don't compare frequency but realy performance.
Even in benchmark iPhone 7 is better and older iPhone always be when they came out.
Please read performance test before speaking.
