I'm wondering what one of these total Samsung fanboys on this site would say if it happened to him.
Loveforever, 12 Sep 2016Just Google it out iphone explosion, you will find 100' of examples, iphone explode, a person ... moreI found it amazing that 35 cases reached such worldwide publicity, knowing that almost any smartphone ever release would have similar amount of burning batteries. Knowing little bit about publishing and penetration of the news I am 100% certain that such publicity cannot be achieved without somebody (competitor no doubt) contributing millions to publish these cases and make it feel like "all note 7 are dangerous".
It is true, that was majority of fires are because of not original accessories used, which might be the only difference in Note 7 case.

Everytime when someone show that type of news, no one say anything about in what condition that phone was...
Because after all those years, with flaming iphones, samsung, or chinese phones, after some time it turn out:
-that phone was lied on direct sun, for long time.
-Phone was used in bad conditions or in bad manner(thrown, squeezed etc)
-Phone was charged with damaged charger(broken cable, non original charger etc).
-phone was used in humid environment lots of time/for long period of time.
And all that for most of time is reason why phones explode. I dont know if reason here, but I can ensure you, that most of people, especially in USA, threat phones literally like bricks, and they have no idea how to use most of devices they have(starting from remote controllers ending on computers and cars).

"whistling, screeching, and vibrating," before exploding doesn't exactly sound like "without warning". I hope the guy heals okay!
Anonymous, 12 Sep 2016Fakest news of the month. This stuff from May why only mentioned it now. And dont tell me S7 b... moreYeah, I see what you mean. Phones exploding are the most common thing in the world. In fact, I just lost 3 fingers while typing this message because my Xperia m2 exploded. I simply have a bunch of phones laying around because they tend to explore so much I need to replace then.
One time the phone the exploded while in display at the shop.
And, the phone had the NON-REMOVABLE (non user replaceable) BATTERY again!
NON-removable battery is not only a programmed obsolesce, but also a safety issue.
I had S7 edge. It is heated to a high temprature. I have sold it because it may burn any time. All internal batteries of samsung can caught fire.
