If websites want to show ads it should be subtle and people wont be annoyed and wont block their ads, Simple as that. BTW gsmarena is the first website I intentionally disabled adblocker on for the simple reason that their ads don't punch me straight in the face instead just sit there on the side of article and if I want to I can open it.
GSMArena you're doing a good job with ads, hopefully other websites follows this suit to make internet a beautiful place otherwise we'll have to use adblockers to make it beautiful.
Yes, I dont hate adds. They are good. Only i hate is pop up. So i uninstalled addblock and installed a popup controller for mozilla.
MdN8, 14 Sep 2016Technically, web pages need to pay for hosting, bandwidth, programmers and writers. If you are... moreBut the site is free anyway and if i don't visit it, they won't get more money (On the contrary, visitor count adds value even without the ads). Actually most ads require javascript. Well what if i have it disabled? I still won't see any ads, but it's just a regular option, part of every browser. How can that be theft? No, that's life, that's the way it is. If a site doesn't make enough money, then there is a problem and it's not its users.

If you are blocking ads, you enjoy their work for free and they can't make money from it. So it's more like taking some iPhones or Galaxies from a transport truck and giving them away for free and then saying "It's not stealing if I don't make money from it".
I don't think Adblock created problem.
The problem was created by developers with their annoying popups, redirections and other adforcing techniques.
I use Adblock, yet I have disabled on many sites I visit (including this one).
Respect your visitors and they will respect you.
World Wide Web is a virtual place and it's already contaminated with nasty ads. Imagine in real life every step u take is filled with ads. There is actually movie about this "Branded"
Like every step u take someone would offer u something to buy or see advertisements etc. Advertisement has gonna out of control today
wow....
they figured out how to make more money by not doing the one thing they do to make money....
[deleted post]wow, you've been heavilly brainwashed. You can't "steal" something without taking it away from someone. It's like saying it's a theft to just not but a Galaxy or an iPhone.
This... uhh... defeats the purpose. What's next?
End user need to pay premium to block the ads those premium publishers pay to publish????
And the cycle goes on and on.
End of an era. Bye bye adblock.
Ridiculous.. -_-
Adblocks showing ads, now that's an irony.

Adaway is a great Android alternative baked into many vision roms. It updates your host file and that's that. Doesn't have to run in the background constantly like many other options.
And comes the downfall of Adblock. Why on earth would I use an ad blocking program that profits off of showing me ads? That makes zero sense.
Ha! So it's no longer an adblock, just another adware blocking other adwares..
Talk about extortion. I am disappointed.
Then..they probably should rename it as Adblock Minus or AdAllow
Punisher, 14 Sep 2016U cant block ads all the way in Adblock even if u manually block sites.
I have both Adblock ... moreI use opera and adblock
