AnonD-442781, 15 Sep 2016Which android is faster than the exynos s7?Any other android other than S7. Btw, there is no such thing as exynos s7.
Mirkran, 15 Sep 2016I agree HTC Sense is a cleaner UI than TouchWiz, but I have a Samsung device running Android 6... moreI do have the Tab A too, and it never lags on Marshmallow. TouchWiz is hated but sometimes not understanded.
The cleanest Android modifications are stock and Moto Pure (I have Motorola devices with it, the G1 for example, after 3 years, is still running smooth.) but sometimes you cannot deny improvements Samsung bring to Android with TouchWiz.
You want some useful improvements? Here you go:
Battery saving mode since 4.0 (i think)
Multi-Windowing on almost all devices since 4.1.2 (Google added support only on 7.0)
Ultra-Power Saving mode (4.4+)
Knox security and private phone mode
And many more
Mirkran, 15 Sep 2016And have you actually used both of them? It's easy to criticize a device/UI just for the sake of it.Everything is fine with my galaxy s7 and touchwiz.... but messenger is lagging like hell from the recent update.. dunno the real reason behind it
AnonD-404798, 15 Sep 2016Note 5 is not form 2015 ? Note 7 is not from 2016 ? those lag like hell for a high end phone .... moreAnd have you actually used both of them? It's easy to criticize a device/UI just for the sake of it.
AnonD-404798, 15 Sep 2016even clocked at 10 GHz this thing could hardly come anywhere close to performance of average P... moreYes, as PC performances keep rising. In the next five years, technology will advance really fast. We will acheive higher performances everywhere. Price will drop (for older tech) while newer gadgets will still be better and better but still obselete years after.
It is sad to see that a 1000$ device right now will be considered as obselete in just two years
AnonD-507364, 15 Sep 2016TouchWiz may have been improved a little bit over the past year or so but still not as smooth ... moreI agree HTC Sense is a cleaner UI than TouchWiz, but I have a Samsung device running Android 6.0.1 (Galaxy Tab A 8.0) and it doesn't "lag like hell" as you said. And if you want bloatware-free environment, try a Nexus or a Motorola.
Anonymous, 15 Sep 2016Yeah I feel like its unfair. Canada is not as backwards as the US and use exclusively GSM now ... moreThere is a reason why: it costs less to ship only one variant in a ''market''.
Because there aren't so many Canadians (we aren't even 40 Millions!) we often receive the same ''treatment'' as our south neighbors, because it costs less to localize only one market than two right?
At least we can be happy that Vidéotron (Quebec only) sells the Exynos variant on both S7.
NB: Localize means adapting a product to the requirements of the targetted market. Like: a game often gets two different translation in one language because of the local vocabulary.
Mirkran, 15 Sep 2016TouchWiz lags like hell? In what year do you think we are? TouchWiz may not be my favorite UI,... moreNote 5 is not form 2015 ? Note 7 is not from 2016 ? those lag like hell for a high end phone . TochWiz is still horrible as it was .
AnonD-376965, 15 Sep 2016and when will have the power of a pc.. someone will come and say "well it will never have the ... morewhere did I said ''never'' ? but probably not , as smartphones evolve so as do the PC's .
Mirkran, 15 Sep 2016TouchWiz lags like hell? In what year do you think we are? TouchWiz may not be my favorite UI,... moreTouchWiz may have been improved a little bit over the past year or so but still not as smooth as HTC Sense UI since Sense UI is super lightweight, almost stock Android, no duplicated apps and most importantly zero bloatwares.
