Co0lG, 04 Nov 2010All this was available at nokia since last 3years (n95 release)!!!! :)I'm a n00b I know that... but I think you're talking about this:
lol typical iphone fan boy zombie responses... Attacking on the smallest of feature lacking.. a flash. Personally I buy a phone for a phone and a camera as additional feature. Iphone 4 had less features overall.
This is a renamed feature though. It is basically as hoc :s.

[deleted post]man, htc is a chinese(taiwan) company, hahaaaa, but these htc users feel themselves elevated, poor guys.
[deleted post]X10 do not even have multitouch, and Desire is unable to keep a stable 3G-connection and have a so small built in memory that it is impossible to install many games like Asphalt HD... and apps. The problems with Galaxy S can all be fixed, and we know Galaxy S have no camera-flash but we bought the phone anyway because it is more than only a camera.
The Nokia N95 already had this feature.
Nothing really new..
Just renaming like what Apple did with "Video calling" to "Face-Time"

loool exactly, a phone that doesn't have the simplest hardware doesn't deserve to be called the best smartphone, specially after the reports that 2.2 on this device was laggy as hell! And only god knows when will sammy release it again, and for the people dreaming that sammy will release 2.2 this month, keep dreaming now.
I have been with sammy for years now, and when it comes to their support, they really do suck big time trust me.

R u happy that the iphone doesn't have or u trying to be sarcastic and a little optimistic.lol.
Wi-Fi Direct? This is the technology that can connect 2 devices together without the need for a wireless router?
But we can already do that! It's called "adhoc" mode or adhoc connection! When you connect to a wireless router or access point, it's called "infrastructure" mode.
So what's the difference?
2.2 nuff said...........
Roger C, 04 Nov 2010Ahaha funny one. The SGS can't even support decent assisted GPS... it sucks both in firmware a... moreThe GPS is software issue that is being addressed by samsung (if not there are alternative fixes available). I have no problem with the gps myself, much better than my previous devices, though I suspect it maybe due to my location.
The ram... slow? as far as I know it is not the ram that causes the lags. The lags are caused by the file system (as you mentioned) because it uses an internal card to store and run apps from. There are fixes available for this already but I am not sure whether samsung are addressing this issue. Not all suffer from lags.
[deleted post]yep, we've had that feature 3-years ago on Nokia devices (mainly the N95/8GB)
nothing really new..
Galaxy S is the best!
..can't wait for the bug-free official and final Froyo update soon! ;]
That was the reason for Froyo's delay?

How deprived one is using an iphone,rofl.lmao.
hehe iphone4 is also getting the wifi direct in 2011.....but there's not so much details abt iphone 3gs since its having some hardware issues...
yes update the phone with Bluetooth 3
Ahaha funny one. The SGS can't even support decent assisted GPS... it sucks both in firmware and hardware implementation of the Broadcom chipset.
Not only it has no GPS but samsungs rfs filesystem and slow rams make it lag a lot.
The only good thing about this phone is the amazing SAMOLED screen and the great sound quality on headphones... I have no idea why so many people keep them. I returned mine.
