Savor , 23 Sep 2016Note7 still is the best smartphone out there once you compare it with other phones.
Design... moreYou may be right (I tend to agree), but if the phone is not available, that doesn't help.
The problem is, there are no alternative phones available with a stylus other than the Note 4!
Anonymous, 23 Sep 2016"November..well before the end of the fourth quater.," have you got that, decietfull Mr .riva... moreNow read what he actually said as quoted in the article word for word! Why did he need to say the 2nd sentence unless the end of Q4 as in after November was not a possibility? Whether I'm right or wrong its still a slap on the face for Europeans.
We fully expect (new Note7s) to be available everywhere by the end of November ... well before the end of the fourth quarter," Lowes said.
Wow, why does samsung always ignore the european market? They didn't release note 5 last year in europe, and europe will be the last major market to get the rerelease of note7. Samsung shouldn't take europe for granted.
Absolutely pathetic from Samsung. Been told by Carphone Warehouse in the UK that replacement handset won be available till 21st October. Samsung customer service staff just read answers off a piece of paper. What kind of customer service is that? If you don't know when you will have replacements available why then set a date of 19th September for the Exchange Program to begin. What is the objective of this 'Exchange Program'?. To those who are praising Samsung, I wonder if you'd still be praising them after having paid for a product and then being told you'll have to wait 2 months before you get the item.
Note7 still is the best smartphone out there once you compare it with other phones.
Design - Note7 although it looks similar to S7 edge
Display - Note7 (DisplayMate called it best ever, 1000 nits)
Cameras - Note7 (a better S7 cam)
Battery Life - S7 edge, Note7
iPhone 7 Plus only has the 2x optical zoom to its advantage and better at RAM management for speed tests. I saw iPhone 7 lose consistently to Note7 and S7 in several videos. It has inferior design, display, cameras, and battery life even when pitted against the Note7 SD820.
LG V20 only excels in having a removable battery which its endurance is poor against the likes of Samsung, Apple, Huawei, and Sony. Another blunder putting only 3200 mAh on it. Also excels in camera audio quality and recording. Inferior in display and battery. It rarely is the best at anything except in audio. Let's not forget LG ruining its reputation with reboot loops with the G4 and V10. Poorer quality the last couple of years.
Forget all the bomb/exploding jokes. Snapdragon or Exynos, Note7 is still the best smartphone to get of 2016 because it is the best in many important hardware aspects. Its only major weakness is software lag which can be fixed with updates. Wait when it gets Nougat. Note7 is still king. S6 edge is a close 2nd. Everyone else is playing for 3rd.

pika2000, 23 Sep 2016Well, in the end, you will still give Samsung your money. So Samsung probably doesn't care if ... morePossibly but not definitely true. Any of us could move away from Samsung in this scenario, me included. As the old saying goes. A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush.
LifeTime, 23 Sep 2016I live in Norway, might as well wait a few more months and buy S8....!! NOT HAPPY WITH THIS :-(Well, in the end, you will still give Samsung your money. So Samsung probably doesn't care if you are happy or not. :D
Actually I just realised something having read the article again. It actually says up to the end of Q4. So theoretically in the worst case scenario some people may not be able to buy it until just after XMAS or very early 2017. That is nothing less than atrocious! By then the Note 7 will be simply too old.
Anonymous, 23 Sep 2016High tax, high recession, economically stagnant Europe is not a growing market. North America ... moreWhat are you taking about? When did he mention growing market? Even if we assume that the market is not growing, which we cannot be sure without hard data, why would Samsung decide to drop it? Oh, I only sell several million Notes each year and it is not growing, let's just not sell these several million.
Do not buy the Note 7 because you'll find extremely difficult to sale it you've been warned
Anonymous, 23 Sep 2016High tax, high recession, economically stagnant Europe is not a growing market. North America ... moreYour comment maybe somewhat flawed my friend, Since Brexit the UK's economy is forecast to be one of the fastest growing this year! Even more than Japan's!
Where are all the Brexit detractors now who said we would plummet into recession :-) But your correct on many other parts of the EU though :-)
This is catastrophically bad. I had a Note 4 that was superb, and ready for the Note 5, sold the 4, but when Note 5 was never released in UK bought another Note 4. But today, despite being a good phone, it is too slow and the camera is not as fast or good in low light as the Galaxy 7 series. So went to get a Note 7 just as the recall was announced a few weeks ago, so had to abort and bought a new Sony Xperia Z3, which is very nice actually. HOWEVER, the camera is useless and I need a fast Note for work NOW, and had been told Note 7 would be back in UK stores early October, so this is NOT good news and Samsung may just lose a customer and £700.
I'll have to get that inferior LG phone with a stylus and no doubt equally inferior camera and use the rest of the money to by a proper camera.
Samsung, you are missing out on a LOT of revenue if you treat Europe like this! What is going on?
What I should have mentioned (Cheers Jack Jones) Is that originally the Note 5 was scheduled for a 6 months later release although as Jack Jones quite rightly pointed out it was never released in Europe...I have to admit I lost interest in the handset once it came with fixed storage and battery.
Regardless of Samsungs marketing strategy it should treat all its customers fairly no matter what country your in! In Europe we have been waiting for 2 years for a new official release Note series phone!
I wanted the Note 7 for the S-Pen and for productivity and was also going to pair it up with a nice gear 3 Frontier watch.
But all this treatment leaves a bitter taste in my mouth and like us Europeans are over looked.
Should I not get my Note I won't be going to Apple they can jack off :-)
Operationblitz , 23 Sep 2016I can't believe that Samsung behave this way to Europeans, Especially after the 6 month extra ... moreHigh tax, high recession, economically stagnant Europe is not a growing market. North America and parts of Asia where it's at these days, I'm afraid!
Anyway, I don't know who would buy such a phone after its disastrous launch.
fruitcake, 23 Sep 2016Was so excited when i saw the Note 7 but this battery saga as now turned me away from spending... moreNote7 could be outdated only by next Note. Just remember that.
If you buy Note only for bigger screen, you are dumb. Though no one can make better displays than Samsung.
BTW Note7 is faster than iPhone7 in everything except of the games(optimized for iOS)
Check it out. App by app speed test.
