It is still is don't let the price deter you (unless you're on a tight a budget). It's the best phone you can buy today with a 90 hour endurance rating according to this site.

It's only slightly better in the battery department. If it wasn't for their stupid batteries having a nuclear meltdown nobody would even be denying the Note 7's position as the #1 phone in the market. It's decked out top-to-bottom. iPhone 7+ comes close, if we aren't going by frivolous benchmarks alone.

Received my replacement 3 days ago. I was worried as the issue spreading that the replacement is having a problem too. But everything work out fine for me. Fast Charging is awesome! and My battery life is very good as well. Has charged my note 7 twice and both times no overheating or loosing power. I am a moderate user. So far this is the best samsung phone I ever got. The only time, the phone got quite warm was when I was watching in my Gear VR.
Everyone should give Samsung another shot.

Anonymous, 29 Sep 2016SDI belongs to Samsung in case you didn't know. Its exact denomination is "Samsung SDI Co." True but SDI and Samsung Electronics is still a separate figure and do business independantly. SDI even have their own CEO.
Allow me to quote what a wise registered member wrote: "Plus Samsung makes much more phones than Sony or HTC, so in terms of absolute numbers they should have more issues." (Grey1213 [H5Nf], September 24, 2016)
A line seemingly caught right out of my mind before I get to express it through typing on my keyboard. Let me reword it a bit to: Plus Samsung has the largest market share of mobile phones worldwide, much more than Apple's, LG's, Sony's, Microsoft's, BlackBerry's, HTC's, or others' so in terms of absolute numbers, they should have more issues regardless of whether the device in question is a flagship or not.
Just only a small number faulty Note7 in millions sold...iPhone6s also got fired and exploded
Original Note 7 was "overheating" anyway, and they just changed batteries inside of current batch of note 7 so it's normal that it has the same "overheating issues"

More than 100 phone explosion is no joke. This is serious matter. They are not doing any "favor" to the consumer by recalling. They had no alternatives. Recall wont do any good to their already damaged reputation. They got too greedy and it back fired at them. They were trying to sell a repackaged phone (S7), without the latest chipset or improved features. Note7 is the second Note after Note5, I'm hesitated to switch from my Note 4.
Maintaining the top spot is their responsibility. I guess they got used to it, they became too relaxed. They deserve this disaster. Hope, they will learn something from it (and its gonna be beneficial for consumers).
Guess no one is perfect... but granted, Sammy should have done more testing with the batteries and heating issues before launch.

sa11oum, 29 Sep 2016Wow the Note7 is really turning out to be one big piece of crap huh?it's sad because it was supposed to be one of the best devices out there. Lesson is "never say never"
