But of course, iphone have the highest resale value in the smartphone world. I only assumed it is that way just because the iphone is 'american' product. All things american need to be perceived highly of. Consumer mindset.*sigh
Samsung has been getting the rap over the Note 7's battery issues particularly by the US press also as it indirectly promotes the home brand - the iPhone - as Apple would not get the same treatment if the roles had been reversed and it was iPhone that exploded. But - the good news is that the rap works - Samsung will undoubtedly ensure better QA in the future.

Sony Xperia XZ here I come
quality control this year with Sammy seems a bit iffy it's like they wanted to get the phone out before everyone else they cut corners now it's costing them dearly
I was not worried about the explode issue - it was just a matter of replacing the faulty battery. But this new issue with the phone getting hot during use sounds more worrysome. Is it inherent, not fixable? If so why push the hardware so hard? I'd rather have a phone that scores a little less on the benchmark and doesn't get hot.
It's a hand warmer for winter.
thats why i bought iphone 7, much better

A Note7 customer says overheating issue in replacement Galaxy Note7 not a safety issue or a replacement issue, rather it is a give me my money back issue, I'm buying another phone.

Samsung's this year galaxy line up should be named as: Galaxy Bomb 8, Galaxy Heat 8. They'll live to their name then!
Samsung quality has been getting worse for a while now. All they want is money. Greed. Glad I moved on from them last year.
They forgot to add "...until the next one will catch a fire". I think we all know, that Note 7 is a burn this year (no pun intended). That's why Samsung is pushing S8 launch forward, just to try to do a little bit of damage control faster, because right now it's just a PR nightmare for them. Hopefully that one won't have a fiery start as the previous device.
what does it min "does not pose a safety concern" it's causing problem for users and discharging very fast Samsung really messed up this time
