Wow, quite the claims they're making. Very interested to see how they've managed to squeeze more power out of less energy - again - and hope we'll see these chips in mobile devices soon!

Also, does this mean we'll be seeing new competition for the next console CPUs? Maybe even a third competitor in the desktop/notebook CPU space? If it's good enough for netbooks ...

                  heres a good analogy..

Why buy a car which has all the new age electrics with traction control, abs, ac, bd player, ipod input, a 2000w sound system and screen on every seat with a built in ps3.. BUT,.. It has a broken engine and no wheels and u cant fix it... No think about it

                    ROLF

now u r the kind of ppl im talking about..

If u read my post again, ull notice that i never once mentioned the n8s camera. And to the other dimwit, i said all other things are extras.. It doesnt mean that a phone shouldnt have it... Its good that we have extras but a MOBILE PHONE should NOT be built based on EXTRAS.. The extras should be built around the main aspects of a phone.. IPhone4 for example has great features but came out with an antenna flaw, so really defeating the purpose of calling it a working phone

djscope, 19 Nov 2010i dont understand the utter stupidity of some ppl... If u want intense gaming buy a psp... ... moreWow, first you call people stupid because they want to be able to have the option of playing games comparable to that of a psp on their mobile phone saying that if they want to play games they should just get a PSP because a mobile is a "mobile" and should be basically used for keeping in contact. Then you go and praise the N8 because it has a good camera? How about this, if you want a camera go get a camera and keep your "mobile" for just keeping in contact. If you wanted a camera go and purchase a point and shoot camera so you won't "waste" your battery life using that xenon flash every time you want to take a night photograph or record video. You sir, are the epitome of hypocrisy.

i dont understand the utter stupidity of some ppl...

If u want intense gaming buy a psp... A phone is a MOBILE phone, key word MOBILE. And the most important thing is battery life and communicating with people... Other things are gimmicks and extras, simple as that...

If the dual cores bring better sound quality and internet speeds without compensating with battery life, then we all win...

And if u compare all phone with battery life than ull see that the N8 is the best device around dats on par with all the rest

Anonymous, 19 Nov 2010what the hell are you saying quarter resolution?? 360x640 quarter resolution of 1080?! hahaha!... more you fail cause you don't know jack crap

                              nHD, used by Nokia 5800, Nokia 5530, Nokia X6, Nokia N97, Nokia N8 [2] 640 × 360 16:9 1.778 230,400

HD movies are all shot in widescreen meaning they have the ratio of 16:9 which is HD formate for viewing

the fact that the human eye can only see a few ppi therefore not needing the super dense screen resolution and also saving battery life, having big icons and being able to resize the font for better viewing ......I REST MY CASE

75% lower power compared to what??? their single core 1Ghz ?? if thats remotely true its impressive.. I doubt about the GPU power.. at best It will just topple over PS2 but no where near PS3 or 360 even if it renders only at 800x480.. impossible.
