I disagree with the pricing here. No IP68 nor Shatter Prof Screen or 64GB internal storage? Do we need to pay for a base model Rs 56K or $855 for vanilla android experience? Even Google's update policy is only 24months from the date of manufacturing while iphone gets 60 months. Common they are robbing us blind here.
I wanted to jump from Apple to Pixel. main reason was OS and the PRICE. expected google to be cheaper. atleast priced at 50000/- to 55000/-. now its a huge blow for me. guess i have to purchase Nexus 6P(no way they have removed from the stores). at least now i can buy htc 10
Nexus line is dead.....and Pixel line will be still born in India ...insane pricing ...google going the Apple way ! Greed overcoming the need & sense. RIP
inr pricing for pixel and pixel xl are different whereas in us both are the same price, google is really confusing on the prices and wth is with those high prices, google you are trying to become overpriced apple seriously pixel arent that much great compared to nexus but still the high prices
No water n dust proofing. Sad pricing like BBs. Rather buy iPhone 7/+ or Note 7 (Safe Edition).
Its so nice to see that all of the previous comments have one thing in common, that Google is out of its mind. Its trying the Apple theory of being the manufacturer of software and hardware both. But what works for Ferrari does not work for Ford. Google's best tactic with the Nexus line was the price advantage, which it has lost badly here. And if the taxes are to blame then what Magic is Samsung doing in India by keeping its prices universally stable be it the USA or UK or here in India! Google should realize that Indians love it when it comes to majority of its products because of its price structure, openness and flexibility. But it might soon start losing our faith in the race to become the next Apple!
Surely it is not going to sell well at this price range! What happened to Blackberry Priv?
Whoever decides on this prices are insane people.I mean there is a thing called market research before pricing any product
I have no idea what changed from "affordable clean Android experience " to " premium Android phone with own blot " but they made a wrong call, it's out of range for many geeks
Anonymous, 05 Oct 2016Wikipedia says average income per person in India is about $1500. So, an average indian can bu... moreYou wanna invest half of your annual income on a phone that's bound to go out of date in couple of years, that's absurd for any anyone. And oh wait i still didn't mention that 1:99% economy ratio.
pricing a product has so much things going on in behind scenes.its not so easy to convince goverment to sell it as nice as we want.it is a political issue just look at the iphone prices or any apple products they are cheap as hell but they are expense
Funny prices for that htc made phon which has no service centre even in big cities. Even mi has service centres more dan htc.but moreover these pixel phone r ment to show off android not for selling like hot cakes
