Anonymous, 05 Oct 2016did you read the list of devices that are going to be updated ?
the G4 Play WILL BE updated ... moreWell I may have missed that and if that's the case then Motorola should update G3 too.
But I never said that Nougat is impossible for G3. I wrote in order to pass Google's certification a device needs to have support for OpenGL ES 3.1 or Vulcan API 1.0.
Custom Roms are always there if needed. Official update seems unlikely.
AnonD-237381, 05 Oct 2016And probably it would lag like hell if updated, more than it already lags with Marshmallow, SD... moreI have a Moto G4 Play with SD410 on Android 6.0.1 and it doesn't lag like hell. In fact, it hardly lags and it's real fast. But obviously you haven't actually used a Moto phone, so stop trolling.
Mine too.. . My Moto G (3rd Gen) is not even a year old and now you say it won't get Nougat? Very2 disappointed Motorola.. . I never buy your moto phones again in my whole life.. . Buy buy
remember when moto g first gen got like 4 major updates? now moto g3 wont even gets one lol
Moto G 3gen will not get it. I only hold Lenovo responsible for it. There was a single MM update since phone was released . Post purchase customer service sucks too. I advice not to buy any Lenovo phone.
My Moto G (3rd Gen) is not even a year old and now you say it won't get Nougat? Not cool. Bye Bye Moto
Jenny, 05 Oct 2016Moto G 3rd gen won't get it, sorry Moto G 3rd owners I guess you are fckd lol.Moto G 3rd gen and turbo version are getting the Nougat.
Just checked with Moto India website.
AnonD-429892, 05 Oct 2016Hey Wait ! What about moto E3 power ???My man mediatek chipsets never get the fastest updates and they'll roll it in about an year
Moto G 3rd gen won't get it, sorry Moto G 3rd owners I guess you are fckd lol.
People are crazy about updates that adds 1 or 2 features, there's plenty of updated custom ROMs to install, after 1 year you won't have warranty anyway, my experience with updates from the manufacturer has been always very bad, these updates often have bugs and slows down the phone.
I rather install a better custom ROM than wait for the manufacturer. I don't even care much about updates, for example Lollipop from 2014 is still functional and runs every app available on the Play Store.
Qayyum, 05 Oct 2016Will moto g turbo edition will get noughtNone of the Moto G 3rd variants will receive Nougat. This includes the G Turbo Edition, despite its better SOC.
It's really a shame on new MOTO's part that it couldn't push updates to moto G3 or motoX2. One is just an year old and the other was a flagship!
when will moto g4 plus gets android 7.0 updaye....when is the release date.....?
go to hell Motorola...my Moto G3 is already running on Nougat courtesy CM14...before any of your new ones can even imagine tasting it...will never buy any Moto phone again...Lenovo has ruined the brand.,,,
AnonD-237381, 05 Oct 2016And probably it would lag like hell if updated, more than it already lags with Marshmallow, SD... moreMoto G 3rd Gen has all the Hardware & Software requirements as specified by Google including the Open GL ES 3.1 support, to run Android Nougat, hence No Issues in Updates
