Curious Androider, 06 Oct 2016Did you follow the instructions like the charge level and stable connection?Yes I did, In fact the phone worked fine for about 2 weeks after the software update. I guess, it also received a security update and that installed successfully too.
I decided to uninstall some unused apps, thats when the phone bricked.
Anonymous, 06 Oct 2016They shoved a security update on my note 3.nougat, lollipop, marshmallow, in the discussion meant os updates, not security updates
Curious Androider, 06 Oct 2016Did you follow the instructions like the charge level and stable connection?thats not what affects it, its corrupt software. Same with many s7 phones. network drops
As soon as I put the marshmallow update on my Note 4 it has been a piece of junk every sense and I have only had it 4 14 months it's really sad Samsung won't do anything about this this marshmallow update cover ups the inside of your phone the phone just stops working when it gets to 30 or 40% I have bought a new battery it did not help at all I have done everything I even took it to you the Samsung Tech and they did a factory reset it still has not helped this has made me to where I don't even want to buy another Samsung product between this happening and the Note 7 exploding and being called back it would be different if when they saw this marshmallow update corrupted people's devices and they tried to work with us on them or put another update to override the marshmallow but they have done nothing it's like they just want us to have to buy another telephone I'm not rich I don't have the money to buy an $800 phone every year my phone is still under contract warranty but why would I want to replace Note 4 that is corrupted in the device and have to pay 200 dollars my warranty will be over soon and I will be back with Verizon at least when problems occurred Verizon always worked with me and I will not be buying another Samsung good luck in the future you had a good name Samsung but you need to stand up for your name brand if this for you or your child you would want the same for yourself so think about ALL US, that have these corrupted marshmallow update telephones

Please beware of the OTA update (Marshmallow) for your Note 4. Samsung OTA Update has managed to brick my Note 4.
When I took it to the Service Centre, their blatant reply was "The OTA update was corrupt, that has affected the motherboard, you need to replace it for INR 14k. Period." My Note 4 is sadly, just out of its warranty period.
Anonymous, 06 Oct 2016There will be no more updates for S4, Note 2, 3. No 7.0 for note 4The only update I got on my non US Note 3 was a security patch for september.
Isn't android 7 out already? An update to an old OS have arrived, rejoice Lol
I myself have a Note3 I thought it was wrong not to have even got 5.0.1 when the S4 was released approx half a year before and that received 5.0.1, and there's not that that much difference between the Note3 and Note4.
AnonD-508301, 06 Oct 2016Will Samsung rollout nougat after 1 year ???Previously, they wouldn't do it (for example, note 3 is stuck with lolipop), but now that their brand name is somewhat tarnished thanks to note 7 fiasco, they might start offering a better after sale service to win back consumer confidence.
