sa11oum, 08 Oct 2016Wow I wonder where they got those two ideas fromLG G5 and every version of android ever
fico1, 07 Oct 2016time to copy some things form iphone again a then samsung is inovativeapple is the biggest copycat in the history of smartphone industry.
You're welcome GSMArena :)
Anyway, I'm suprised people doesn't get hype by this. It will have an actual full screen display. No right-left-up-down bezels. Which means that a 5.5 inch Galaxy S8 will be about the same size as a 5 inch smartphone. It will also have dual cameras, which we already know Samsung as the pioneer in smartphone camera technology, they will make dual cameras right. And of course when you have a full screen display, the home button will be gone.
I was very suprise that the commenters said that Samsung is copying Apple. The only thing that I saw they "copy" is the lack of the home button. The dual cameras had been around before the iPhone 7 Plus (LG G5, Huawei P9 plus), so I fail to see how they "copy" from just Apple.
leensky0418, 08 Oct 2016LG G5 is the first dual camera before Apple 7It was HTC m8 who started dual cam since 2014... All those iphone g5 and sammy are just basing from htc flagships..
Kyembe, 07 Oct 2016First off, the clicky / pressable Home button will be gone, the rumor says. It might be replac... moreBGR says that samsung might be adding fingerprint under oled screen, and that display gonna be edge to edge, bezeless as possible, so its not like iiphone 7
Anonymous, 08 Oct 2016Doesn't matter who does it first. As soon as Apple does it, Samsung will try to copy as soon ... morewhen sammy went for bigger screen, steve jobs used to boast that they will never increase their screen size. eventually they had to copy sammy. the dual camera came apple copied, same usb type c apple coppied, then htc, leeco, xiaomi, etc copied apples form and look. so you better shut up, everyone copies everyone when it deems fit.
And use tizen, or at least make tizen version.
Not hate android but more convenient using os that the company make their OS self.
If i want use android, i prefer pixel or android one.
Anonymous, 08 Oct 2016Doesn't matter who does it first. As soon as Apple does it, Samsung will try to copy as soon ... moreWeird. Why don't you say, as long as other companies does it, Apple has to copy it. Why is it when Samsung does it, it's obvious but when Apple does it, it's not.

Julliard, 08 Oct 2016You call it copying but I call it 'improving'. Its about time to get rid of the clicky button ... moreDo it immediately after a gen is totally copying . Not saying it violate the law , but the feelings just not right .
I really wish they would go with on screen buttons but I think I'm almost alone there, so I doubt they will. My S5 is so painfully un-ergonomic to use one handed in part because of the button locations. Everyone loves screen space, but if you have to awkwardly hold your phone near the bottom to use it the trade off isn't worth it at all. Separate buttons worked when screens had an aspect ratio closer to square, 16:9 is pushing it already, putting something else to reach above or below the screen just makes it impossible to use the whole screen without changing where you are holding the phone.
Kumar123456, 08 Oct 2016Samsung is again copying Apple. Samsung's whole Galaxy truly revolves around Apple. They have ... moreJust like Apple will use OLED and go edge-to-edge for the iPhone 8 and use Samsung as a main supplier? That's copying? Samsung already OUTCLASSED Apple in photography with their ISOCELL technology and design department well before this Note7 fiasco. The iPhone 6 and 7 series are all ugly devices with ugly camera humps.
About time Apple let go of the physical home button after Android users have enjoyed capacitive home button for years. The thing I hate is Apple now also setting a trend by removing the 3.5mm headphone jack. The iPhone 7 series is also a waste of money. Might as well get the iPhone SE which is the last iPhone with headphone jack and no camera hump.
Apple copies Android features all the time. You won't bat an eye. When Samsung decides to remove the physical home button which other Android OEMS had removed years ago, that's Samsung copying Apple? Uh, okay.
Seems like Samsung is planning to use Qualcomm's Ultrasonic Fingureprint Tech.
Kumar123456, 08 Oct 2016Samsung is again copying Apple. Samsung's whole Galaxy truly revolves around Apple. They have ... moreYou call it copying but I call it 'improving'. Its about time to get rid of the clicky button which can become loose. Its an 'improvement', not an innovation. Media make techie-wannabe overusing the term 'innovation'. Non-clicky button is not kind of thing you can patent. Its like trying to patent how a door is being open. You either swing it in or out. Btw, I hope all android start using the non clicky button or even better, just capacitive button is enough. Apple lack of back and menu button is not my thing either. Dont ever copy that, to all android manufacturer out there.
