Why still temporary? This greed still to make money is only going to make it really worse, just discontinue it completely & comeback with guaranteed safe Note 8 next year with a new feature Samsung Insurance Covering Any Accidents,Damage, etc caused by their phones
Karma's a b***h!
This is what Samsung deserves after all these years of fooling its clients, oferpricing their devices and adding unnecessary features only to justify the hefty price.
Everyone pays eventually, especially the ones who did the worst things.
There might be one positive out of this. Samsung might bring back removable batteries in next year's 8 series if they are looking to put back confidence in their customer base. Not only will it make it easier for Samsung to avoid a repeat of this, it will also make a recall of this size much more cheaper (as in replacing faulty batteries only instead of the unit itself). It also means that in the unlikely event of a phone starting to spontaneously combust, the owner will be able to throw out the battery before the phone fully catches a light or even worse explodes. I also think it will be easier for technicians to pinpoint the problem due to ease of access rather than opening up a sealed waterpoofed backside cover fixture.
Anonymous, 10 Oct 2016Always with its issues. There are no Samsung phones without issues.Actually no Android phones without issues. HTC and Samsung been worst for me, but i have to add that HTC was much worse than Samsung. My Samsungs had mostly software flaws and issues, HTC has so many hardware issues in addition to having more software flaws.
So sad, Note 7 is dead, i waited for this phone for a long time. It's still the best device in the market, unfortunately ruined by a stupid battery issue...
Farewell Note 7... I'll wait for the next model...
OdysseyTag, 10 Oct 2016Samsung should probably just drop the Note 7 model (mark it off as a pulled/suspended/retired ... moreMost Samsung flagships are sold in the US so of course you would have the most reports from there.
Julliard, 10 Oct 2016What brand care for its fans? Any? Name me 5 brand that care about customers and prove it. Tel... moreyoure right that none of them CARE, but some listen at least. Like Apple, it was surprising that they listened to the 5/5s owners and gave them exactly what they wanted, the iPhone SE. Reviewers and markets were screaming for new design and lame "trendy" features, the users wanted a reasonable 4 inch phone and SE was even better, the battery life and performance of my SE is so great that it will still be a good phone 5 years from now. So yeah, they definitely listen and when they do they make pure awesomeness. Samsung otoh, follower copycat who only care about following temporary market trends, more cores and more uselessness, yeah they dont listen.
they should make a battery like htc ..... not explode but save the owner.
They should not just suspend but stop its sale and production because this phone has destroyed the reputation of the company. No way this phone can redeem form the catastrophe it has done to the clients.
Always with its issues. There are no Samsung phones without issues.
Removable battery smartphones have longer lifespan but not much earnings for smartphone makers. Having said that, LG still can produce flagship phones with removable battery, they doesn't earn much profit but at least they think for the consumers for letting them control and own the battery.
Does anyone still dreaming the flexible screen, the battery pinch and explode possibility.
