instead of just just enjoying samsung's failed model, the phone companies should probably take a step back and think about what they are doing with these phones that we users keep on the side of our head, put on ridiculous uncomfortable vr sets, and even at the bed side..the older problems like antennagate and bendgate were relatively milder problems..but they were problems nonetheless..and that was because cuttting corners is what everyone is doing now..we know that flagships go for about 5 times their production cost..maybe they can reduce the profit margin and go for better devices...and i'm not saying this about a single brand..i personally have an n8 that works to this day, my dad had an iphone 4 that was working fine till it fell in a puddle of water last month, and my friend uses a galaxy s2..and these are not new phones...they have been in use by us as soon as it came in our markets..this shows the quality that these phones had, and what has deteriorated....damn..this post is getting too long..bye
Anonymous, 11 Oct 2016Serves Shamesung right. Arrogance and greed brought down their laggy overheating phones. Sounds a lot like Sony that...in the end Sony will burn to the ground, mark my words. Greed greed and more greed.

Leo, 11 Oct 2016No this is gods way of punishing Samsung for rushing the note 7 to get it on shelves before th... moreIt's actually karma for previus attacks and insults towards Apple and their customers. I believe it was the bendgate that was started by Samsung, and now they are being punished for their immature And childish acts not to mention not testing their products.

Samsung owns android market in T-Mobile, AT&T and Verizon. Sammy will be perfectly fine.
Jon B, 11 Oct 2016I believe it's because S7/7 Edge and Note 7 are almost in the same bracket.S7 (edge) both has nothing wrong with them
DJ Koh should be removed as CEO mobile division Samsung immediately.
AnonD-177184, 11 Oct 2016Why don't they bring the S7 Edge Plus over here as a replacement?I believe it's because S7/7 Edge and Note 7 are almost in the same bracket.
This whole debacle just shows the stupidity of not fitting easily replaceable batteries.
Doing so, would of meant just sending out a replacement battery costing a few dollars each.

Anonymous, 11 Oct 2016I remember when the Galaxy S4 first came out with exploding batteries...nobody cared back then.
in fact, its probably very few note7 that have batteries catching fire (which isn't exploding also)
basically this is a media fiasco, not exactly and engineering issue per se. Apple would have watered it down with lies and threats.
If anything, this makes me want to buy a Samsung device. Heck they're refunding all devices. I wish my "antennagate" phone had been refunded... or my "screen instant-break" had been.
Anonymous, 11 Oct 2016Really? OMG my first phone had this battery and I still have it somewhere in the shelves. Holy s***Ok I just checked it nothing to worry. It's the Nokia 1209 using a BL-5CA which seems like a revision of BL-5C :)
