It hasn't even been half a year. I think it would make more sense to wait and refresh with the Snapdragon 830. Being one of the first phones with the 830 would bring some hype.

change to more expensive and superior LCD instead of their crappy AMOLED would be awesome .

The shortage of amoled panels can be remedied by samsung since they essentially stopped making the note 7. Samsung are the biggest manufacturer of these panels, anyway.
