Just add a stylus to s8 and it becomes a Note in a nicer form factor. Maybe call it an s8 and then make no more phones in that range either.
Next will be "Samsung Galaxy No" 8.
Just remove the "te" part...
Naaah no big deal for a long term.... anyway, it is time for them to introduce a foldable phone, and it does need to come with a new name.
S7edge is decent alternative to curent Note, just if Samsung add a S-pen in box.
It should update the Note 4, the last truly galaxy note, with the new hardware, make it lighter and thinner (without unwanted curved screens), keeping the removable battery. That would be a success. Because Note 5 and Note 7 were errors; steps in a wrond direction.
As expected, Samsung would abandon Note. Note = explosions!
Dude, 13 Oct 2016I like those, nice! Thanks, I think I should work at Samsung ;)
I absolutely hope that Samsung will keep the "Note" brand alive! It will be the true biggest mistake, for Samsung if they abolish the “Note” brand. because okay the problem of the battery and the dual recall it's absolutely a stratospheric problem. But the Note 7 itself is an amazing phone (Phablet) so Samsung absolutely must keep on investing in the Note line, and okay if next year Samsung will produce the Note 8 (that I absolutely 100% hope so!) At first it will be quite slow but then it will gradually increase. What Samsung must do is to refund all the buyers, etc. And make the next year's Note 8, 1 obviously totally save! And definitely with the best and most innovative specs! And after a while everything will be fine and everything will go on!!!!!!!
I hope samsung will replace "note", as "T" series. T stands for "Thin" or Thin-bezels. Maybe on that case, samsung will excel its product line of smartphone devices.
galaxy memo
galaxy write or galaxy right or galaxy rite

Kirt, 13 Oct 2016S8 Pro
Should go great with a 3 phone release.
S8- 5.1" curved screen phone
S8 Plus- 5.5" c... moreThat's actually a great idea.
The only problem I see with it, is it would be best as a simultaneous launch... and they've already rushed and gotten into a mess once, they don't need to rush the Note's replacement for a March launch, and screw up again. I also don't want to see them push the S8 launch back any.
Maybe next cycle they could do this though.
Skipping from 6-7 is really bad...
Im gonna miss you note7 BYE
Kirt, 13 Oct 2016S8 Pro Should go great with a 3 phone release. S8- 5.1" curved screen phone S8 Plus- 5.5" c... moreThis is good. But I'd rather they stick to the Note. It really has become an iconic brand that really redefined the market and pushed manufacturers to go over 5.0" on the diagonal. And thank God they did. S8, S8 edge, S8 Pro. But I doubt they would move to a 3-device release cycle. The S8 Pro would have to be released in June-July.
Make it even bigger and name is Samsung Galaxy Book
LOL
A month or so ago, I had to sell my Nexus 6. I loved that device, but it had to go.
Now, I have the OnePlus 3. Well, I don't really have it... I had it for a week, sent it back, asked for a replacement... now waiting :)
While I'm waiting for the OnePlus 3 to return, I've purchased a Note 5 to use as a spare device. And I gotta say, it's AWESOME. The thought of purchasing a Note 7 did cross my mind. But I said to myself nope, better wait for the Note 8.
They really don't have to abandon the Note line. They just have to DO THEIR JOB. And do it RIGHT.
Also, they should be more open about what's going on. Use those PR guys, for fucks sake! Don't let your customers in the dark. BE OPEN ABOUT WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON. Otherwise, for sure, you make room for rumors. Which... mostly are negative.
Samsung is digging their own grave.
Just make a good phone, with replacement battery:)
R.I.P.
S8 Pro
Should go great with a 3 phone release.
S8- 5.1" curved screen phone
S8 Plus- 5.5" curved screen phone
S8 Pro- 5.7" curved screen phone with stylus.
Meaning the Note brand is no longer good? But the fanboys say not so. Samsung, you are wrong!
Samsungs biggest problem is going to be early adoption of subsequent units.
Everybody is gonna hang back and wait to see that newest samsung phone is safe and problem free - irrespective of the name.
I would.
I don't care, i use iPhone 7 and im happy with it.
