I have noticed my S7 will not hold a charge. Yesterday would not function at all phone was extremely hot to the touch I shut it down numerous times. My son had a football banquet which my phone would not let me open any apps so I lost a lot of memories because of my phone. Has been hot on several times but this was the first time it would not function and was so hot I thought it was going to catch on fire. Very scarey with all the recalls. Hope this can be addressed.
My S7 gets very hot after half hour use. This never happened with my previous phones. Thanks
my samsung galaxy s7 burned my finger n cord to charger, then burnt my daughters finger n her charger cord... it was not the note nor egde...had i been charging it at bedtime, it would have caught my bedroom on fire, it happened at work thank god cu it wasnt holding a charge...2 months old..700 dollar phone n 80 dollar life proof case...so yes this phone has the same issue..17 days now, i have no phone...sprint dropped the ball with this 20 year long loyal customer...n samsung made promises but, nothing has happened...i have 403 job apps out n no way to get called
Just got my recently purchased S7 back from the "Samsung repair center" and its scrambled even after several components were replaced due to battery and overheating. The original issue with the couple month old phone was a black screen. It seems to me that the overheating problem with my samsung S7 ruined many parts of the phone. The samsung support rep was unable to help - any ideas on how to proceed??
be careful with galaxy s7...there are some local rumors saying that it could explode just like note 7, it's just samsung who was smart enough to cover the issue to prevent more loss from its handset...
i am telling you this in order to save your life, not your phone...no offense.
What the hell samsung is doing, just in the competition with iPhone they are throwing their for more and more benefit but this thing is making samsung image down.
Note 7 has the battery issue now what about s7 edge i bought s7 edge 3 months back in brand warranty and now the pink lines are appearing on the screen although i saw many comments for same issue in S7 edge...
I am a big fan of samsung, please don't make us hesitate instead on being relying on you we would turn to another brand

If BMW make a car that might explode you don't think they'd do a call back and if they can't figure out what's wrong (like Samsung) eventually discontinue the model? The Note7 had the potential to explode, how slim that may be is irrelevant, it's a hazard to people's health.

Its easy to say nothing can go wrong with a car until it happened. So, no one buys the brand anymore? Stop defending the car company? Car company have numerous recall in history ever. So you saying Samsung should die? All the hate for a phone? Stop hating Samsung.
Note 7 is just an enlarged S7, even the 7 name confirm this. Note 7 have faulty design because S7 have faulty design and I expect Samsung to admit it only after more users speak up.

hey they only gave us mooks what we wanted, bigger better phones that charged faster and faster, wouldn't it be funny if they only tested the ones from a certain supplier that had a battery that was more stable then the other? and used them as their reference point.

AnonD-249419, 13 Oct 2016There is a balance in the universe. everything negative you do has a punishment.
Remember tho... moreI fully agreed with you.
Samsung fully deserves it. No pity and no mercy to this company!!!

My experience being a Samsung user the S7 EDGE is easily Samsungs best ever phone. No heating issue's great performance great battery 🔋 life. Easily the best display on the market right now. Looked at Apples new iPhone 7 nice bit of kit but overall not as good as the Edge...IMO
Had my S7 EDGE since March... Great bit of kit. No issues nothing to complain about. Well worth a look at if you are returning A NOTE 7.
I had my S7 edge for 8months now and i haven't experienced anything off on the device. no restart issues, no heating issues etc. Something tells me that this is just a black propaganda for bursting s7/s7edge

Now imagine being in an enclosed place like a plane with someone who has the device and it starts giving off a lot of toxic smoke beside you. You're the one who's messed in the head here if you think that's not a risk factor to other people.
