Anonymous, 14 Oct 2016I woudn't buy a Samsung just because their phones suck. No dual sim+sd slot in the high segmen... moreJust don't buy a smartphone then. No phones out there match your expectations.
US customers are biased towards US companies. Why not ask people from other countries and see what they think?
I don't understand how people think. Samsung has been the best in mobile market. They always innovate and bring those features in their phones. So we have a fair view towards samsung approach. Its irony that world best smart phone had to be called off because of the battery issue. However samsung I'll come back with a bang next year with the best smart phone one again.
Only Samsung lovers will still brag about the note 7. No phones came close to it because it's the only that will explode by doing nothing.
I own S7 Edge, and I would say it's one of the best devices I've ever owned, I've also owned Note one and Note two, and I would also say that I would buy Another Samsung device anytime.

AnonD-126854, 14 Oct 2016'There are so many good replacements out there,'
Name one replacement of Note7, ignorant! E... moreEnjoy your exploding phone then... and be sure to keep it turned off during any flight, while we are playing with our poor iPhone or Pixel (or whatever else). Lol.
It should be difficult to be a Samsung supporter nowadays...
Anonymous, 14 Oct 2016But doesn't that make it a battery issue indeed? Their batteries are just low quality and that... moreThey swapped batteries with others, supposedly checked for quality issues. Those still exploded.
AnonD-5197, 14 Oct 2016Interesting. Only less than 100 were involved in accidents, that means close to 99% people had... moreWe don't know how many actual incidents there were... but I wouldn't sleep very well with the idea of a Note 7 sitting on the nightstand next to my bed. Even if it isn't charging
MaxSmarties, 14 Oct 2016It clearly isn't just a battery issue, otherwise the replacements wouldn't have exploded again... moreBut doesn't that make it a battery issue indeed? Their batteries are just low quality and that includes bad "design".
Their batteries also swell quite often. I really can't imagine how could anyone consider buying a Samsung with a non-removable battery, especially at that price.
The only people who will be affected is Samsung's first time buyers. Otherwise, no manufacturer comes close to the features and performance offered by the Note out there. I was not going to buy a Note 7 but one thing is for sure, as a Samsung user, I have had a chance to test other Android phones such as Sony, LG, Huawei, and Motorola and nothing feels so cool as having your Samsung phone. My Upgrade will be the Note 5 this holiday season.
This issue is when your mom cooks a burnt meal once or twice in her lifetime. You don't runaway to your friend's mom to eat her meals. You have this trust that your mother will get it fixed and give you a better meal next time. But if it is the case of your friend coming to test your mom's meal the day she mistakenly burnt the turkey, your friend will always sing about it like "meen your mom cooks burnt meals..." Samsung I'm sure are working day and night not to mess up the situation next time and be careful with their quality department.

I woudn't buy a Samsung just because their phones suck. No dual sim+sd slot in the high segment and no removable batteries. And "mid"-rangers lack basic functionality like ambient light sensor and magnitometer. And they always have crappy speakers.
And now the note 7 problems. Samsung just can't make good phones. And as a "bonus", they don't want to. It's a combination of bad quality and bad policies. And high prices. "mid"-rangers are quite expensive. And yet they don't have the functions of a mid-ranger.
Anonymous, 14 Oct 2016only if u put back again removable battery feature If they do not include this function, will you use other seal-battery phones ?
ProJames, 14 Oct 2016People get scared very easily. It is not like Samsung waited for someone to die because of the... moreIt was not only battery issue but something else as well. We will hear it from Samsung in a couple of weeks. Also, the 3.5 year old Z Ultra recognizes a regular pencil to write on it, if they wanted to, they'd have offered a similar thing like the S-Pen.
Interesting. Only less than 100 were involved in accidents, that means close to 99% people had no problems with their Note 7s yet still "won't buy Samsung again". I'm fairly certain majority of those people will forget and buy Samsung again. lol
