Note 7's alternative is either Note 5 or Note 8 .. no other phone can replace a Galaxy Note

For the Note smartphone series, for me it ended on Note 4. Note 5 was worse in many cases than its predecessor, and now the Note 7 fiasco might mean the end of the Note name.
Of course I think Samsung will release devices with S Pen in the future, but with a different name.

Although 40% is a big number, I do believe that Samsung will rise again and learn fr9m their mistakes.

AnonD-454153, 14 Oct 2016Fact, who get samsung after iphone ,wont buy iphone again no, i just use both :D
Since paying for Galaxy Note 7 outright in the UK and never having it delivered and then discontinued, I have £700 spare to spend on a new phone.
Sadly there is absolutely nothing out there which meets my requirements. I need a phone with a pen for productivity and graphic design and I'm afraid the Note Series is where Samsung have its niche market.
Apple may have powerful optimised processors on a smaller Dpi screen but it's operating system and iTunes is so user unfriendly and unless jailbroken is no good.
I am currently using a Sony Z5 which is ok but very dull and plasticky. It doesn't feel like a premium phone. Sony haven't made decent looking phones since breaking with Erriccson.
I will never get an HTC again because of there treatment of me when I had the HD2 which had atrocious battery life and the camera was terrible!
I have to say my money will be waiting for S8 or S8 edge next year. I want a premium phone with power and the freedom to put what I want on it. Then later that year I trust I will be getting my Note 8 :-).
Ask yourself something when have you ever been surveyed for these mobile phone polls? It's never going to he a true reflection of users anyway.
Each to there own and Sammy is for me for many reasons at the moment.
I have given up on Samsung long before the note 7 was first rumored. It was because of it's heavy customization of Android. I won't buy another Samsung till it comes with stock Android and half the price. They've started so good with the S4 GPE. They should have kept continuing like that. Or at least offered a stock Android ROM to install.
Once you go AMOLED Black you never go back.

Anonymous, 14 Oct 2016I'm not fanboy but how is note 7 legend? How? Legend with faulty battery?I haven't use a phone that is legend lol. If a phone is legend, you are less likely to replace it but i guess to some people they have 1000 legendary phones.

It won't, it really isn't a problem to use it longer. Apart from non-removable batteries, the planned obsolescence is mostly brainwashing: They brainwash people into thinking they need to replace their phones, but they don't really (In majority of cases).
