Note7 owner, 15 Oct 2016I'm keeping my Note 7 for a while longer and demand more than $25 credit. I won't budge unless... moreYou must be smoking some real good ****. Did your Note7 light one up for you?
Return it or bury it into ground. There is a Nintendo Game Boy that was burned to a crisp during the Gulf War from a bombing. Still works. There was a Nokia 3310 dropped by 900 feet with a drone. Still works. I saw a Nintendo 64 get set on fire. Still works! Gadgets like that aren't built like that anymore. LOL at the weak sauce gadgets we have today. A Note7 scratches just by farting at it.
Maybe instead of water-resistance phones, Samsung should focus on fire-resistant ones like the box they give you to return it. And it isn't just the flaming issues. The best smartphone of 2016 also scratches easily, is ergonomically uncomfortable with exposed and useless dual edged sides, and laggy software. I see $400 Chinese phones like the OnePlus 3 still beat it in speed tests. This $900 is now the best?
So much wrong with the Note7 and what Samsung tried to do. Quad HD, fast charging, thinness, fast SoC that overheats, and everything is a hard lesson to every company out there. I laugh at all the people keeping it. Rewarding Samsung's faulty engineering. Collector's item, my ***. More like collecting ash. Millions were in production. The demand is no longer high for it and people are avoiding it like a plague.
Sega Dreamcast and Palm webOS offered by more memories. People love this Note7 that was only out for TWO MONTHS and celebrating its short life like if John Lennon died. Two months of nostalgia and sentimentality over a phone that can harm you and Samsung is still clueless what causes it. Buy a jet black iPhone 7 Plus and sell it on eBay. That's how you can make money and safely.
Samsung should sell all the Note7 to North Korea or they should be buried into a desert like the E.T. game for the Atari 2600. Nobody will want it. Like going bareback with prostitutes. Be my guest and take your chances. This isn't the original iPhone or Nokia N9. People just move on to the next big thing. Note7 isn't even the most beautiful phone of 2016. That honor (no pun intended) goes to the ceramic white Huawei P9 Plus. Way better design than Note7 and S7 edge.

Note7 owner, 15 Oct 2016I'm keeping my Note 7 for a while longer and demand more than $25 credit. I won't budge unless... more& the dumbest comment on a forum post 2016 goes to........this guy!!!!!
Why on earth would you make Samsung responsible for something that 1) could not foresee & have attempted to fix 2) have give you an option to get it out of your house & 3) for your stupidity & greed?
I am suggesting to all chinese Japanese and specially Korean worker and engineers whos are developing or manufacturing phones please dont laugh when you production phone or develop...because this countrys peoples eyes not open properly i mean small eyes everyone...and when they laughing too much there's eyes are tiny to not visible for everybody...
i think the title is misleading. It's reduction in revenue, not loss.
AnonD-507364, 15 Oct 2016Seems that the end of Samsung is near. Every company has it's high time and eventually low ti... moreVery true. TouchWiz sucks. Very heavy UI with too much bloatware and useless features. Don't know about others but Sony's UI is very smooth and lightweight. Never lag.
lost too much because of note 7? don't worry Samsung you just need to put an Stylus on S8.
AnonD-442781, 15 Oct 2016That wasn't the concern, since the release date was the same as it was the hear before.Yes the release date was heard before, but my point is , why set such an early release date in the first place ? Take your time and make sure everything is A-OK .

3 billion is a ton of money. that said for samsung, its still a loss, but they are a company that can take a 3 billion dollar hit.
AnonD-423275, 15 Oct 2016Samsung said they dont want to launch Note 6 as it is bad luck and they launched Note 7 and pr... moreActually , they launched the Note with number '7' so that their 'S' line and Note line are on the same version number. According to Samsung , people might have got confused that Note 6 is inferior to S7/Edge by looking at the numbers '6' and '7' .
Never rush a product and compromise on quality because of peer pressure. Let there be a delay of 1-2 months , but the product must always meet the strictest quality norms. You may face stiff competition in the beginning but then, on the other hand ,you will gain a loyal consumer base and gain more profit over the long run.
Case in point : Samsung would have made a decent profit even if it launched today and had zero issues in its battery circuitry.
Same thing happened last year with Qualcomm SD 810 and this year with Note 7.
This estimate seems to be a bit on the low side. When all the dust has settled we will see more Samsung products being affected by Samsung lack of quality control. Don't be surprised to see more Samsung products in the news for the wrong reasons from here on out.
Dear Samsung.... Look after your customers with more updates. Please stop making high end phones which cost loads of money with just a 2 year update limit. Your after sales has always been poor. Lesson learnt with Deceased mR note 7. Rush with greed and your fingers will get burnt! Apple never rush, they act like gentlemen & treat their customers the same.
as sad as this situation is, i actually gained from it lol. a free vr plus 100 bucks. who would've thought?
