a Samsung official said. "We have been mobilizing all possible resources to find the exact cause of the problems as soon as possible."
How come they blame on battery alone at the first place. Until now they still can not find "the exact cause".
How can we trust you anymore ?

And what do all you owners of over-speced phones precisely do with your phones ?
Do you use them for heavy duty maths.
Do you use them for complex enterprise software.
Do you use them for creative work, such as drawings or design work.
Oh no,the vast majority of you have them as a bragging toy and use all that grunt to flounce about about on social networks, play a few games, take a few pics, generally a toy that can text or call.
If you have to do any "real" work you grab the laptop or desktop, you know,"real" computers that can run x86 softwares.
I am giving up on "smartphones",after being in at the begining with things like the SE p800/900/910,12 years later the only thing "smart" about them is that they are "smarter" than the folk carrying them..
I'm going back to a dumb phone with a half decent camera,if I need better pics I will use a proper camera,Google can go shove itself,I'm not going to be a revenue source for them any longer.
I hope you all have fun with your crippled, limited devices, the makers will keep churning g out toys for steeple and the steeple will keep paying lots of money for very expensive toys.
Bye bye.
it will turn up it's a software virus made by apple and nothing on the hardware is wrong. it's not easy to inflate battery by herself, trust me.
I hope that they can find the flow so that they are sure of the problem. Hopefully it won't affect the design. Something curious is that as soon as Samsung discontinued the Note7 all of the sudden no more incidents have happened. And yes, may people are still using their note7 until they receive the returning package.

Maybe you are from that 1% of the users who like tech very much and find Samsung to be very good at this. If that's so, then you should try other brands too, because I don't think that you have. There are hugely underrated brands, because they don't have the marketing capabilities of Samsung. For example, I am with LG all they way, I didn't have any issue whatsoever beginning with LG GT505 from 2006, LG Optimus G from 2012 or LG V10 from 2015. They are innovative and build their phones really good. I don't care that they sold only 2 millions G5, whoever ownes this phone can tell you that it's perfect. And trust me, it is nice to be the only one within your group of friends who owns another phone, and not a Samsung. I like to think that this is an exclusive brand, and honestly, even if LG's sales would plummet, I want it to remain this way. I encourage you all to throw with mud at this company, because harder you try, better it becomes.
P.S.: Let me know when Samsung adopts the back home button, it won't take long to copy this too.

it wasn't even going strong anyway lol lies at its finest.
We were not informed, but let's assume, it didn't happen in development and factory tests. That means problem happens in conditions diffrent than laboratory area. It may be related to software controlling status of hardware (CPU,battery temperature etc). This software subroutine should turn off overheated phone immediately and cool it down. The fact that it didn't means that either it didn't get the control or received incorrect data from sensors. This suggest, that the reason might be incorrect piece of code in a non-typical application, installed by some users, which interfered into system code or critical system memory areas.
I think; The "CORE"of the problem is the "CORE" itself. Which is "EXYNOS". Check out all the overheating smartphones, you will see; they all have "EXYNOS" processors.
Samsung just needs to change the processor to Snapdragon. How do I now this? I have tried many phones with Exynos and Snapdragon processors, even two phones with the same model, with different processors. Making the battery removable would be a good idea as well. When the 8 cores overheats the phone and cause the battery to swell; user can simply remove it. Look at Note 7's cores: Chipset: Exynos, Octa-core (4x2.3 GHz Mongoose & 4x1.6 GHz Cortex-A53).
The most annoying part is, I cannot get a Note 7 anymore...
Thank You!...
