Let Apple keep deceiving themselves. Nothing compares to Samsung in terms of innovation and new ideas. iPhone is dumb. Apple has a hand in Samsung note 7 misfortune, but don't worry Samsung is coming back better and greater. Anyway am not parting with my Note 7, period!
5-7 million android users will suddenly switch to ios because of note 7 fiasco??? What utter GARBAGE stats!!! there is no doubt that some users will jump ship but come on....the majority will either take s7 edge or another android manufacturer
I don't have brand loyalty. If Apple made a suitable product, I would have considered buying it in the first place--the same applies to almost every other company. Apple is generally the last company I will turn to but it's a non issue--they don't sell a phone with the same specs.
Samsung has handled this better than how Apple handled the iPhone fires, in my opinion. I also remember reading an off-putting article that stated 12 year olds were involved in the assembly of Apple products; this isn't the main reason why I am dubious of buying Apple products. I generally find that with a bit of research, it's clear they command a high price even if the product is inferior e.g. their latest screens with LG panels have low colour accuracy when compared to something like a NEC screen.
I won't be switching or buying something else as there isn't another phone on the market with the same specs. I'm simply going to wait. If the first phone on the market with the specs I want is made by Samsung, then I'll buy it; however, if it's made by Sony, I'll buy that instead.
I'd quite like to see a re-release of the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 with a metal back--it could be used as a heatsink. With a decent o-ring system, the phone could be waterproof while having a user replaceable battery. They could even consider making something like a kickstarter where they involve people in their product. Companies for some reason do not like to disclose what products they have on the horizon and it's annoying as it makes research very difficult.
I do not believe the statistics either. I think when you allow everyone to vote and you do not verify if they've even bought the product in question, then the voting polls are meaningless.
As a Note User, I am very disappointed in Samsung dropping the ball with the Note 7 but I will NOT be switching to Crapple lol. I do like the LG V20 and the PIXEL would be an option if it had a 5.7 screen.
i dont' think 5-7 million will convert to iphone . Samsung Fans hate Iphones.
It looks like quality wins in the end over an overpriced toy that produces nothing but fireworks.....
Don't think so, ios is unbearable for an Android user!
And a note user is a note user. Only if Samsung haven't messed with the Note 5 before, it's user would still be on their previous generation note but now they are mostly on note 4 that's the tricky part.

Its like saying my petrol car has been recalled so I am buying a diesel or electric car it has nothing to do with the situation.
The report is forgetting that the end of note7 does not mean the end of android. I don't use any iphones because i don't like the operating system. Just because note7 is discontinued does not mean now i will stop using android. There a lot of nice phones out there that can be used as a replacement. I loved my note2 so much, but never upgraded to the newer versions, i actually jumped ship to huawei. So for me, this report is dead wrong to assume people will jump to iphone 7, maybe a percentage, but android lovers will still get an android-based handset.
I am disappointed with Samsung but I would not switch. No other phone gives me what the Note does. Wanted the Note 7 but I will be keeping my Note 5 at least until they release a new Note. Had an iPhone before and I would not be interested in going back to iOs.
" Apple overpriced " when you take the price of the note 7 and compare it with the iPhone that doesn't go on fire I think price is very fair
I find some of the comments on here really surprising, I mean who on earth wants to spend $800 plus on a phone because it does FM? More to the point when I choose a smartphone (smart is the clue) I am not looking at wether it does radio,Facebook or Twitter etc because I don't waste my time with such rubbish.
I choose a smartphone for power and Productivity,A good camera is useful and stereo speakers are irrelevant for me because I like my music on my headphones and my call conversations private and not on loudspeaker!
The Note series has all my requirements with a SPen which is invaluable to me and brilliant when I can't use my surface pro in packed commuter transport.
It beggars belief that some idiots are whinging about things that in all likliness belong on a phone manufactured by Big Brother contestants or Towie twits.
What are some of these idiots going to ask for next? Go faster stripes on there phone or maybe Lo Profile tyres perhaps or Supplement the S-Pen for a pop out lipstick!
Anonymous, 18 Oct 2016They are deal breakers for enough people. Yes, most are sheep, but they mostly buy an iPhone..... moreWhy do android makers want to be like Sheeps.. emm Apple? Why not trust in their own "feature" for once?
The true sheep = android makers.. they are the true followers of Apple.. copying and criticising on every Apple move.
Don't blame or call consumers sheep, it could be your family, best friend, colleagues or classmates, they are all the same.. they go to what they believe is the best, and if that thing is no longer the best or dangerous.. they go away (hint: Samsung). And sometimes the best is in plain sight, and you can't deny iPhone is best in most eyes. No need to hide behind specs or endless "choice" excuses.

It would be weird for for person opted for a busines phone if we can call it that to then opting for a non expandable iPhone
The memory card alone could rule out all but the256gb iPhone
I see them at sticking with Android

Yes, most are sheep, but they mostly buy an iPhone...yet android manufacturers want to be as applelike as possible. That's why they are struggling. Those who want a fashiophone buy an iPhone...the rest want something else and android manufacturers don't want to deliver it.
Anonymous, 18 Oct 2016On the contrary you see more 'chavs' with iphones these days. Sheep is the perfect word associ... moreWell i guess that you're the sheep who wants to have a image of geek. I was using Nokia phones with symbian which at that time were perfect. Switched to Samsung Galaxy S3 when it came out. Worse decision ever. Had to root it, play with configuration files and god knows what else in order to be able to use it as a normal phone, not just for browsing and apps. Updates took forever to get and the last one made it like it was on some beta software. Never really liked to put another roms as after all it's a phone that i paid expensive and wanted to work out of the box not spend hours on it fixing and tweaking. My next phone was Nokia Lumia 1320 with Windows. Great phone but no apps and support. Only reason why i switced to Iphone 6s. Everything works great right from the box. All the real features that i need it has it. And for that price thing. Samsung Galaxy phones are same price as Iphones. So admit it or not Samsung Galaxy phones are for the same category of people as Apples. Only difference is preference of look and ecosystem. So think better next time before calling people sheeps. Not everyone wants "that freedom" of switching roms and tweaking when all works well
Anonymous, 18 Oct 2016It's not that they don't agree, they just don't care and features is not what they are looking... moreSee? By your own words. The masses do not have the incentive to even care or know about those "features".
Apparently those "features" are not deal breakers, nor anything life changing / add any values at all.
Maybe something deep down in iPhone's core that attract users? Something really simple? But most other jealous fanboys think too much.. got confused. and end up blaming magic / zombies / sheep brain control.
