The Z line seems to be perfectly placed to test the waters for their modular ideas and prototypes for the future. The E is the basic line, the G is the all rounder, the X is the flagship, the Z is the modular, and the M...until we know more we can't say but as it's supposed to be metal it would seem they're catering to build quality fans.

They bought it for 2.9bn and spend a lot for moto Z modular phone development.. Is Lenovo gone crazy to kill moto and waste money!?

I would love to see another Moto X. But it's got to support T-Mobile wifi calling and VoLTE. I just don't understand companies releasing phones, selling them directly to consumers (which I like), but not fully supporting the network technologies of the companies, with which people want to use the phones.
it s very good .if LCD size 5.5 .4K and back camera 21 m.pixel front 13 m.pixel .
water proof LCD . BATTERY 3500 ml.a .snapdragon 830 .GPU 550 .CPU octa core 2.5
Looks like Moto X series is here to stay. Now give me a good camera and take my money!
Moto is trying to become the next Samsung. Flood the market with mutiple devices with 5.5 inch screen size and common hardware shared among certain devices. G Z & now X..?
Finally a lenovo phone without huge chins. But this is too little too late: this would make the TENTH moto phone released by lenovo in a single year, plus all the other lines as well. Just how much attention do you think this will receive on updates? Zero is the answer.
Lenovo does not want to kill off Motorola. It seems like they've put a lot of effort into making good Moto phones, and they've been well-recieved by everyone
