News organizations love to make up reasons why a stock (or the whole market) went one one or the other on a particular day. It's the most bogus news out there. You often see the same organization give different reasons for a stock price shift in the evening from what they said in the morning. Or they will also give the same reason for the shift when the stock is up in the morning and down in the evening (as if the supposed reason a stock went up can also be the reason it went down).
The truth is, short term stock movements are impossible to explain. A stock price moves and after the fact news organizations look for something going on at the same time and with no evidence attribute the stock price change to that thing. It's like dancing, having it rain, and then saying the dancing made it rain.
In the end, news stories about stock price changes are one of the most bogus made up forms of reporting.
Google is a huge company, with so many elements to it. The institutional investors who are incredibly sophisticated look at so many factors to determine what they'll pay for a stock. It is far more likely some behind the scenes abstract detail that only professional investors know about caused Google stock price to change, than whatever superficial observation some news organization makes. And then there's the high speed computer trading, making decisions based on algorithms, that sure as hell are not reading Pixel phone reviews.
So this story seems to be written purely for the purpose of hyping the Pixel phone and is not serious financial analysis in any way, shaper, or form.
It's obvious Bloomberg and the investors have not read the comments under the reviews. Consumers find the Pixel hideous and lacking and GSM Arena's own polls showed clearly that Pixel is not crowd's favourite by any stretch of the imagination.

AsusTech, 19 Oct 2016it's too obvious you are not a real Note 7 owner :)Its good that he is not a real Note7 owner because he cares for himself and specially people around him. You also shouldnt but if you do, go get it exchanged ASAP unless you bought it from a gray market around you and you dont have the accessories and box with you to avail the exchange.
I have said that Pixel will be the best android phone in this year and pretty much all the reviewers agreed with me. This year Pixel is great but next year Pixel will be phenomenal that's for sure. I just wish they improve their design and add IP68 to it.
Note7 owner, 19 Oct 2016Shamsung's Failure is Google's success. Mission accomplished;)it's too obvious you are not a real Note 7 owner :)
