my LG G4 battery swelled after a year of usage. It is not reliable at all
I am like :)) when I read this early morning after waking up.
Doesn't matter if they use batteries from LG or other suppliers, as long Samsung package it as sealed battery, phone will explode.
tahta, 21 Oct 2016shamesung, i mean samsung can never beat apple.Yeah! you are really right... iPhone just Exploded and burned a CAR ;) Samsung cannot really beat iCopy... Explodegate has been released...
no lg batteries plz.they may not explode but their life span is pretty bad.use the same battery technology sony are using since x series plz
LG must be careful. We still don't know the real cause of the fires. A few incidents and LG name might get dragged into the problem.
Shame on you SAMSUNG... that's why you deserved to call SHAMESUNG
I do not trust SAMSUNG Gadgets and even the Appliances... They're all CRAP!!!
Smart move Samsung... All of a sudden they have battery issues after all the phones they done put out, now they want to use components from other companies.
Why samsung is not using sony batteries?
Me as a mobile phone technician can say sony's battery cells are more powerful than all ather battery manufacturers
It would make sense to have an easy replaceable battery because then your saving money. People may have to deal without water proof phones, but overall it would be better
Samsung cannot trust it's batteries because they don't know what caused them to catch fire sadly........
Going to LG could be a bad move as many LG fans admit LG phones come with a spare battery because LG batteries are crap and don't have a good charge.
As a former Note 7 purchaser but not owner, I am waiting for the S8 or S8edge or S8 Pro whatever comes, But using using LG batteries may deter me from buying the S8 series until I know how good the batteries are. After all if Sammy sticks to fixed battery design a spare LG battery won't be coming with this phone!

Problem is , Samsung doesnt want to use its own companies batter... moreEven if Samsung isn't going to use Samsung SDI batteries, other companies would. So when you say you don't trust Samsung SDI are you saying you would buy Samsung over other companies which may still be using Samsung SDI?
But anyway, diversifying supply chains doesn't mean they wont use Samsung SDI. It just means they will ease supply lines by using other companies, allowing them to assure quality on all of them. Which means your premise was wrong and you don't have a point.

Problem is , Samsung doesnt want to use its own companies batteries. So Samsung doesnt trust Samsung products. And other commenter meant : If Samsung doesnt trust its own components, i dont trust them either.
dumb samsung can't even trust themselves and now resort to conniving with its enemy
AnonD-442781, 20 Oct 2016That's just because you don't know anything. We know ZTE axon 7 uses Samsung's display, Samsun... moresoooo you say people don't know a thing about this sh!t but you on the otherside know everything? wow, all thumbs up for yah
OSasmatteroffact, 20 Oct 2016When a person such as Elon Musk clarified that their Telstra vehicle is using battery supplied... moreThat's just because you don't know anything. We know ZTE axon 7 uses Samsung's display, Samsung's storage. They may also be using other things like battery and ram, but since nobody cares about the branding of everything nobody actually looks at that sort of thing.
But Samsung SDI is the number one supplier of mobile batteries in the world. Number one. Do you understand what that means? It means they're everywhere. They are even in some Apple products.
