They should make it removable because if it does now up instead of recalling all the devices just recall all the batteries. Saves you money, saves us time.

sirai9roko, 20 Oct 2016I don't understand why they can't just use whatever batteries they used before, like in the S7.Completely different current draw; USB 3.1 vs USB 2.0.

In which parts exactly other smartphones vendor using samsung's technology? I don't recall a company such as ZTE ever using their product and that's one of the company that never using samsung's product. So is Sony and Asus
"So far, Samsung Electronics has worked with just two - Samsung SDI and ATL. While before the initial Galaxy Note7 recall Samsung believed only SDI-made batteries were faulty, the phones kept catching fire even after that, which means ATL's batteries weren't any better in fact."
This assumes the second fault is due to the batteries. The batteries may catch on fire but it's not proof the batteries are faulty. You may wonder why the batteries have been catching on fire if they're not faulty; the simple answer is that there are a million and one ways to make a lithium battery burst into flames. Manufacturing faults can explain simple shorts, but you can achieve the same effect by over-discharging, over-charging, etc.
I believe I've discovered why the phone's have been catching on fire. If my theories are correct, it is not a fault with the battery, it is a separate fault within the phone. I'm eager to discuss this with a Samsung technician, but unfortunately they're proving next to impossible to talk to.
It seems that for articles to be published on the internet, facts don't need to be checked; strong convictions are far more important, obviously.

YH7, 20 Oct 2016S7 battery = LG chem"An unnamed Samsung executive was quoted as saying the following: "We are looking at diverse suppliers, including LG Chem"..."
"So far, Samsung Electronics has worked with just two - Samsung SDI and ATL..."
"...because Samsung and LG usually avoid buying parts from each other since they fiercely compete in dozens of types of consumer electronic products."
Link us sources that proves Samsung used LG Chem batteries for the S7 duo or that disproves Samsung of only using Samsung SDI- and ATL-made batteries for their phones
LG will supply something to Samsung.
This is A NEWS all right.

Everyone else is using Samsung batteries and Samsung technology too, so if you don't want to use Samsung then just don't use a smartphone, because Samsung is pervasive in the smartphone market and are a major supplier. Got it?
i see there should be some flaw in the design or manufacturing of note 7 and not to aim alone at the battery , bcoz all the samsung galaxy phones and note series are good with same old company supplying battery. but its a good move and brings a positive approach on samsung

Sinsofmobiles, 20 Oct 2016What Samsung doesn't trust they own batteries, why should I trust Samsung phones Samsung's batteries are used in other phones too. You should just avoid all phones and all mobile electronics since Samsung SDI is the largest supplier of mobile batteries.
