Well, it's already March and I'm still on 6.0.1 on my G4 in Poland.
When I was buying my phone 6 months ago I was informed that 7.0 is just around the corner and coming soon. Well it's half a year later and still on old build.
Moto expert@G4 Plus., 02 Mar 2017I'm running 7.0 & moto India told me that they are sending 7.1.1 in this week.Is it true??

Not tested yet, waiting for some wifi to download it.
It should arrive now pretty soon in the rest of europe hopefully
Got Nougat 7.0 (build NPJ25.93-14) via OTA, on feb 27, in France, on my Moto G4.
No need to factory reset. All my data have been preserved. This release seems to be a great one. It was worth to wait it, because now, it has been prepared "aux-petits-oignons"! All is ok. I do appreciate especially:
1) the new screen adaptive brightness; Moto fixed also the previous too high level of brightness: now, a 50% setting appears to be good in any situations. Fine.
2) (not due to Nougat, but) Moto fixed also the acknowledgement when sending SMS (before it was impossible on Moto G4, but possible on Moto G with MarshMallow). Fine.
3) Quick access to the settings (by a vertical swipe from the top screen boundary) present now a black background (better during night); and the full access to the settings use the classical Material Design, i.e. a white background.
4) Many improvements here and there, impossible to list.
I will buy Nokia 6 immediately when it is available. Goodbye disgraceful Lenovo with no updates and ruined Motorola brand.
Recmar, 28 Feb 2017The new Nokia phones (3, 5 and 6) look like an interesting alternative. Pure android, reasonab... moreI'm thinking the same thing... the Nokia 5 looks like what the G4 should have been
