baerchi, 27 Feb 2017I just downloaded and installed Android 7 in Germany on my Moto G4 Plus. Yeeha! Can you specify the build number in germany?
The new Nokia phones (3, 5 and 6) look like an interesting alternative. Pure android, reasonable pricing and manufacturer's promise for regular system updates. If they indeed provide the monthly security updates it will be goodbye Moto and hello Nokia for me.
Luisgonzales, 27 Feb 2017I have just received nougat update in Galicia, SpainNice
Pigi, 26 Feb 2017Has anyone got an update in Europe? Motorola Germany said it will update on a motorcycle g4 pl... moreSame here. After a year with Android I'm just tired of the system fragmentation and lack of security updates. My wife's 4 years old iPhone still gets regular updates yet my moto g4 bought last summer has not been updated since new. Very disappointed with Motorola / Lenovo.
Red Chili, 27 Feb 2017Lenovo deleted update for G4+ and there is no more support. pages are written in moto g4, plus it will be updated to Android 7
Nexogen, 24 Feb 2017I completely agree! This is my last Motorola device. I am beyond frustrated at this point and ... moreWhy the hell do you care about just getting the latest updates, android 5.0 was the best, you don't need anymore, I own a moto g4 an I being patient
Has anyone got an update in Europe? Motorola Germany said it will update on a motorcycle g4 plus run at the end of February.
I am going back to iphone, Android isn't trustworthy. iPhone telephones receive updates globally the same time. Lenovo get balls and update as promised
Nexogen, 24 Feb 2017I completely agree! This is my last Motorola device. I am beyond frustrated at this point and ... moreI completely agree. There's Nougat ROMs on XDA but I told myself not to custom ROM unless I don't get the update by the end of my school year.
Post your complaints on Lenovo/Motorola/Moto facebook/Twitter pages to let other possible customers know your experience, clean language if you want to be taken seriously.
I have given up the hope to get any updates to my Moto G4 Plus. Lenovo can´t even provide security updates.
It is a shame that Google sold Motorola to a totally incompetent company that destroyed Motorola brand. Lenovo probably will soon stop selling mobile phones because they have according to news fired most of their mobile phone staff.
Anonymous, 23 Feb 2017I'm never buying from Motorola again. No Nougat update since getting the phone in October. Sam... moreI completely agree! This is my last Motorola device. I am beyond frustrated at this point and there is no excuse for such a delay on relatively vanilla Android. What really upsets me is how India received the update last year! I have never seen such incompetence! A major OEM rolls out an update to one region almost immediately and has everyone else waiting and waiting. By the time my Moto G4 Plus receives Nougat (if it does) I won't even own this device anymore. I am disgusted! Motorola is a joke now and it's sad what Lenovo has done to such a reputable company. There is no logical reasoning behind India receiving Nougat back in October while in the states we are going into March of 2017 and still no Nougat! Nor a single patch. In fact, this phone is full of bugs and you can thank Motorola and the fragmentation caused by rolling out Nougat to only select regions. Some Moto G4 have Nougat and most do not! This has caused so many problems! Motorola refuses to respond to the simple question "Why is it taking so long to roll out the Nougat update to the rest of us?" It looks to me that lenovo/Motorola only care about their Indian based consumers and that insults me. If Lenovo/Motorola actually believe the world hasn't noticed, they are mistaken... I'm actually going to enjoy watching sales plummet for this OEM. Not a happy customer when the OEM I went with deliberately neglects their products outside of India. There is no excuse! Same exact phone w/ maybe a few minor differences if that! One region has enjoyed the latest version of Android since October 2016 while the rest of the world waits and waits and waits and waits! "Soon" says Motorola support back in December 2016. All credibility is lost by now. The image is even available! What is the hold up on the OTA? Don't ask Motorola and expect an honest response. If you are not an Indian consumer it's clear Lenovo/Motorola could care less.
Nima, 22 Feb 2017Yes they are.
Did you work for them?I would agree
Moto employee on damage limitation campaign, very quick to bring up names of other manufacturers.
What they call small features is rubbish, for me its about security. Your phone is only as safe as its last security update.
