No its not okay to ship out a defective phone, that should be fixed, but people shouldn't expect their phones to keep getting updates two years down the road.

Yet the Nexus 5x's LCD is the most accurate amongst all smartphone display.
galaxys6owner, 21 Oct 2016i have been using amoled devices for past 2 and half years.there are no burn insJust because your devices don't have burn-in, doesn't mean that burn-ins don't happen.

rock bottom price???
smashd, 21 Oct 2016give me sd 625, with 3000mah battery, 5 inch amoled, finger print reader on the back lol, why are you here? just buy samsung midranger J series or so
Should make it a oneplus 3x with the same hardware in op3 in the body of the 5" opx
it might be to gain some market share in china, where they have plenty of competition with the xiaomi mi5s coming. This update might include a SD 821,Sony IMX 398(because they are the best 16 mp sensor available) sensor,128 GB of internal and daydream support if they become reality(There have been lots of rumors about a new oneplus phones that never got released)
Maybe its an affordable version with 4 GB RAM and an LCD panel, who knows?
swirly, 21 Oct 2016Eh, it's your choice. I, on the other hand, don't want to worry about burn-in...i have been using amoled devices for past 2 and half years.there are no burn ins

You're almost only paying for the hardware at this point. If you need support go buy a Samsung or Apple phone, if it's too much thats what you're paying for, nothing comes free.

Wouldn't touch ANYTHING from this whole Oppo/OnePlus outfit.
That Carl Pei guy needs a good swift kick in the behind. Cares NOTHING about
support/service. Once they have your money, they are pretty much done with you.
Just look at the complaints on their boards over the past 3 years concerning phones that
don't work, out of the box broken, what it takes to get it fixed, shipping errors, delays,
software problem and on and on.
This guy couldn't steer a ship headed over a waterfall!
Is it me or the shown wallpaper are pretty much identical to SONY'S X series?
duh dude, 21 Oct 2016even samsung s7 doesn't have nougat update yet, why expecting oneplus will? Because Samsung is developing its own OS over the Nougat but the one plus oxygen OS has stocking feel to it.
Gibbs-kamhagh, 21 Oct 2016I don't understand? What difference would it make for you :?I hope this doesn't change anything but my concern is once a company starts making too many phones it lags behind in delivering updates. Let's say there is op3 T in the market then it will get the latest update first then the 4 months older op3 then op2 and so on. Sometimes in this race of making more phones, many deserving phones are unable to get the update. Example the google nexus 5x is getting Nougat but one plus x will not be getting it. Samsung note series phones are powerbeasts but after some time Samsung leaves them with no update and the reason is same stated above.

I am not happy, deeper I read about OnePlus, more likely I am going to buy some other brand. They are not able to offer immediate delivery of phone and this seems the answer. They do not care about offering it, because they prepare for new model with bigger price tag so everyone who wanted 3 will buy 3T for more money.
