To be fair i hate Apple because the things they do, and i'll never buy a phone from them. Now regresing to the comment with "Samsung and LG do all the hard work in inovation..." well to use those inovations u have to pay the rights and not just Samsung and LG are inovating belive me there are a bunch of companies out there (Sony, Motorola...Nokia - hope will come back on force).
It's a nice phone with reasonable price but i'm not a fan of curved screen...
Anonymous, 21 Oct 2016Well now samsung is considered as an innovator. I wonder why they always pay millions, not to ... moreThey don't. They got sued for dumb invalid patents for rounded corners, and that was it. Apple has been sued for much more than what Samsung has been sued for just this year.
And when Samsung sued Apple, Apple got Obama to step in and tell the courts that Samsung's innovation is so important that Apple won't be competitive without it. And Apple totally agreed, that it would be unfair if they couldn't use Samsung's technology because of how crucial it is to Apple.
Mzma PIB, 21 Oct 2016Expensive doesn't mean is good, Cheap doesn't is crap too...They all use the same parts suppliers and factories
Anonymous, 21 Oct 2016does it copy exploding feature too ?It's a screen saver option called 'up in flames'
Yet another Samsung copycat. Sad.
But in case of digital audio players and in-ear headphones China is strong.
Well now samsung is considered as an innovator. I wonder why they always pay millions, not to say billions for breaching Apple's copyrights
Someone Else, 21 Oct 2016Samsung and LG is an innovator. They always use their money to make innovative products. Thats... moreThis is totally correct, it's the component manufacturers that are doing all the innovating. But I like they way Xiaomi utilize components and their full feature sets. For example many brands still don't utilise Ubifocus, OptiZoom, Focus Peaking and so on that has been built into all SD800 chips. Xiaomi updates MIUI for most of these features 2 years ago and every single phone that supports it gets them.

I own a Redmi Note 3 Pro and it's simply great!
If you are not a tech savvy or don't like to do rooting and something like that, don't buy xiaomi.
I bought mi5 and the software for global stable ROM was awful. Bugs not fixed. New ROM update via OTA brought more bugs. Email sync suddenly stopped after updating ROM and could not be fixed.
I had to do flashboot to 'delete' the ROM and replaced it with the previous version.
And bloatware apps could not be disabled unless the phone was rooted.
Not anymore please.
Never buy these chinese craps...I Own a mi4i and the never fixed a bug instead of creating and not even one android upgrade still they calling it flagship
Someone Else, 21 Oct 2016Samsung and LG is an innovator. They always use their money to make innovative products. Thats... moreFirst of all all company innovate, to who innovate first is a hard on.
HTC innovate duel camera plus loads of other stuff.
Believe it or not but it was ZTE that started the curve screen not Samsung.

Samsung Note 5 copied Xiaomi Mi Note and Mi Note 2 Copied their original back for the front. Let's continue and say Xiaomi made an original diamond cut chamfered frame and Samsung went with an ordinary Apple style bulge with thick Apple style antenna lines.
Anonymous, 21 Oct 2016Ill never buy a cheap crap like this. NEVER!!!You prefer to buy expensive crap I know
suama, 21 Oct 2016Lol, Samsung Sony and LG can't make such a phone with top notch h/w and especially with that p... moreSamsung and LG is an innovator. They always use their money to make innovative products. Thats why their phone is slightly expensive. Chinese manufacturers just buy a complete and ready product which is cheaper.
Anonymous, 21 Oct 2016Ill never buy a cheap crap like this. NEVER!!!Do you have this handset?
Have you seen it in reality?
Have you experienced it's crappiness?
You are great that you know so much about a handset which is not yet released.
Do you travel to future that you know so much about a device which is not yet released? If you do then please take us along sometimes. Even we would like to travel to future.
AnonD-587428, 21 Oct 2016Real photo's: http://www.gizchina.com/2016/10/20/xiaomi-mi-note-2-curved-display/Honestly the front look exactly like a a Galaxy S7 edge. The home button and curved edges really gave it away.
Anonymous, 21 Oct 2016Another word, copycat from samsung does it copy exploding feature too ?
I'm not too big a fan of curved edged displays. It pushes up the costs and compromises handling for a slight improvement in aesthetics. But it's not a deal breaker either. If everything else is right, I could definitely consider this phone.
Now other people will be copying the Samsung Galaxy Edge phones,it might make the Future Galaxy S8 look total different from Samsung,Edge screens might be good on the looks of the phones but sometimes you miss using the Full Screen,if this phone is more affordable than the Samsung edge phones,it could become more popular and make Samsung make there Edge phones more Affordable in the Future
