Pointless and useless test, not even 1% chance to be real life scenario. I never decide to buy or not to buy a mobile/smartphone based on these tests.

Good to know. Because it's often mistaken with a cigarette when one wants to light one.

SHOCK-WAVE, 22 Oct 2016as if we needs such tests anyway. -_-With a moniker such as yours, I am frankly 'Shocked' you would think the way your words suggest. To all others, remember, this is to simulate what might accidentally happen to your smartphone if you, for example sat on a hard surface with the device in your rare pocket or for women, if it were mistakenly left in a purse with rather sharp objects surrounding it and had lots of motions to cause scratches etc.

Anonymous, 22 Oct 2016I'm planning to keep the LG V20 for 10 years. But the fact that the camera glass is fragile*, ... moreCorrection:

The camera glass protector misled me. I was watching the photos of V20's back in GSMArena's review. The camera glass protector looked like a metal which gives a bump which separates the camera glasses. So I thought each camera has it's own small glass instead of one large single glass. Damn LG. V20's camera glass is as fragile as G5's. Same faulty design.

Besides the software features, the only advantage of V20 over G5 is that it has removable back cover, so 3rd party manufacturers can make extended battery for V20.

*It's fragile, because it is a single glass that covers the whole area around the cameras. As you know, the larger the surface are, the more likely it will break.

krystian, 22 Oct 2016Leave your phone in the car on a hot sunny day right where the window shines and the heat can ... morelol i think that with latest events (note 7 and iphone 7) nobody should leave the phone in the car in a sunny day XD
now seriously, the tests are kinda good but i have mixed feelings about it... i usually take care of the phone but we're always prone to scratches and drops (even the heat i must say) and i've never broken a phone so i don't feel like i need the video in any way

flower, 22 Oct 2016I understand scratch test... it's practical, there are everyday chances to scratch your phone.... moreLeave your phone in the car on a hot sunny day right where the window shines and the heat can cause issues to the screen in a lot of cases. The burn test just simulates the heavy heat.

Perfectionist., 22 Oct 2016Psychopath, should be in asylum & from there he should upload this kinda unsocial videos.I agree, such an abusive video should not be promoted. the only one I can take and agree for is the drop test which is real life scenario.
My old phones like iphone 4s, galaxy S3, Xperia Z and lg G2 are 5 years, 4 years, 3 years and 3 years old respectively and all of them are generally perfect durability wise in normal usage conditions (in my pocket, in my bag, one the table, minor drops...etc) only the flap covering the charge port of the xperia was cut.
I find these videos very ridiculous and annoying

As if people are going to keep the phone for next 10 years to come to be really concerned about its durability. His channel clearly taking advantage of people's inner fear while he presents unrealistic scenarios. Some durability is very well deemed but not that much!
