These renders look amazing. The phone is official now and doesn't look as good. Also there's no dual camera and 2k screen!

I would regret that too. Anyway come talk about MIUI when you've used it. The 2012 Mi2 stopped at Android 5 and still receives the latest MIUI 8 updates while running super smooth.
Anonymous, 24 Oct 2016Have you seen the ridiculous Pixel XL prices? Over $800. This is acceptable in comparison imo2 years of the most fastest Android updates available, 3 years of reliable security patch updates, Google's intelligent and personal voice assistant baked-in, the highest rated camera and unlimited storage of photos and videos in original quality sure does help.

All phones are equally powerful and speedy, it's about software from here on out, which is why I'm starting to regret my recent purchase from China lol As for the price of the device it'll reveal itself soon enough so we shall see.
fony, 23 Oct 2016Xiaonah stop playing, $590 is too steep. Have you seen the ridiculous Pixel XL prices? Over $800. This is acceptable in comparison imo

But I have had 14 friends and family follow me and have been using second hand Mi3, Mi4, Redmi Note 2 and Mi Note for the last 1.5 years or more without any fault. With software support you're wrong, it is bar none the best you can get. Also if you want cutting edge software with weekly updates, through my own previous experience of 7 years using iPhone, these weekly beta firmwares are more stable than stable Apple firmware. So much so many people run the weekly beta's.
Personally I'm hanging out for the Pro model which is likely the basis of this new rumor. If you can image the Mi5s at $320, what we've seen of the standard Mi Note 2 at $450, what has the Mi Note 2 Pro got to push the price up another 1000yuan?

Do you work for free? My guess is that you don't work at all....
In any case, people who work for a living need to be paid. It's either ads or paywall.
What is this stupid adblock blocking by gsmarena? You are only going to lose users with this kind of stupid tactic. I will go to other websites for my news. Prepare to see your daily traffic suffer unless you remove that giant adblock removal message.

For a few hundred more you're getting better software and service support from both Samsung and Apple. Majority of the time when it comes to these Chinese phones you're just paying for the hardware and not much else. Xiaomi used to be one of the best choices for budget-minded consumers, once these types of companies start to lose their humility they become just like the rest of the herd, so what's the point of getting one?

No wacom stylus means this phone will never be what note 7 users need. People ought to learn that the note 7 has no adequate replacement phone. The note 5 is the closest but even that is largely inferior.

Almand, 23 Oct 2016NO name company?! The sales numbers say otherwise, don't u think?!i must say owning a xiaomi is quite a disgrace if u are into premium high end phones, not that the quality is terrible but the brand just sounds too cheap and super Chinese
fony, 23 Oct 2016Xiaonah stop playing, $590 is too steep. $600 is not too steep... Just because they are a Chinese company doesn't mean they have to sell their products at dirt cheap prices. Current phones with similar specs are fetching almost $800s. I think around or even below $600 is a fair price. If you want a super cheap phone just get a OnePlus 3.
regs, 23 Oct 2016oled is technology. amoled and poled are brands. AMOLED is one of the technologies, not the brand. Its a deviation from OLED, it has active matrix, hence the abbreviation. cheers
